Market Risk Manager / Market Risk SME

Global Banking Organisation

London | 3 days per week onsite | Initial 3-month contract
£650 - £735 per day Inside IR35

Global Banking Organisation are looking for an experienced, hands-on Market Risk professional on an interim basis. This role sits within the EMEA Market Risk function and will support the day-to-day management, production and oversight of market risk information across trading activity. The successful candidate will work closely with the wider Market Risk team, Front Office stakeholders and an offshore Market Risk Reporting function.

This is a particularly hands-on role and would suit someone who is comfortable operating across both Market Risk analysis and Market Risk reporting, rather than somebody focused solely on senior-level oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, review and oversee the production of daily Market Risk measures and reporting.
  • Review and analyse key risk measures including VaR, stress testing and sensitivities.
  • Investigate movements, exceptions and issues within Market Risk reporting.
  • Perform daily review, control and sign-off activities.
  • Support the management of booking flags, booking modifications and associated risk controls.
  • Work closely with and provide oversight of the offshore Market Risk Reporting team.
  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness and quality of risk information provided to the Market Risk function.
  • Support the Market Risk team in identifying and escalating material risk or control issues.
  • Provide analysis and Market Risk input to Front Office and other stakeholders where required.
  • Support improvements to existing processes, reporting and documentation.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of an effective Market Risk control framework.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
