Role Overview
Job Title: Marketing Account Executive
Company: Notorious Online
Reporting To: Company Directors
Employment: Full-Time, Hybrid, Stratford-Upon-Avon
Salary: £26,500 - £32,000 (dependent on experience)
The Role
This role sits at the heart of our client delivery. The successful candidate will be responsible for three core areas: managing website projects end-to-end, handling ongoing website changes in WordPress, and account managing client marketing campaigns from planning through to publication.
The candidate will need to be comfortable working independently, managing their own time, and communicating proactively with clients and colleagues across time zones.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Campaign Account Management
- Act as the day-to-day point of contact for clients running ongoing marketing campaigns covering SEO, content, and digital
- Coordinate with the SEO, content, and design teams to ensure campaign deliverables are produced and delivered on schedule
- Review creative and content outputs from the design and copy teams against client briefs before delivery, flagging any discrepancies or quality issues
- Prepare and deliver clear client reports and updates, communicating performance in plain language
- Handle client questions with confidence - providing considered marketing ideas, context, or solutions where needed
- Proactively flag opportunities or issues on accounts to the Company Directors
Website Project Management
- Manage website build and redesign projects from brief through to launch, coordinating between the client, designers, and developers
- Maintain clear project timelines using Asana, ensuring tasks are assigned, tracked, and completed on time
- Chase clients and internal team members for approvals, content, and feedback to keep projects moving
- Identify blockers early and communicate them clearly to the Company Directors and relevant team members
- Ensure all project work is delivered on time, to brief, and to a high standard

WordPress Website Management
- Action client website change requests within WordPress, including content updates, page edits, image swaps, and plugin management
- Work confidently within page builder environments such as Elementor to make layout and content changes
- Liaise with the development team when changes fall outside standard content updates
- Maintain quality control - reviewing changes before and after implementation
Social Media & Content Campaign Management
- Ensure all campaign content reflects the client's brief, goals, and brand guidelines before publication
- Maintain an organized campaign workflow so that the content and design teams always have clear briefs, deadlines, and feedback to work from
- Manage the client feedback and approval process - chasing sign-off, collating revisions, and ensuring campaigns are approved before going live
- Monitor campaign activity and flag any issues with scheduling, content, or client feedback to the relevant team members
Required Skills & Experience
Essential
- Proven experience in an account management, project management, or digital marketing coordination role - agency experience preferred
- Hands-on experience using Asana or similar, for task and project management - must be comfortable creating projects, assigning tasks, setting deadlines, and keeping boards up to date
- Practical experience making content and layout changes within WordPress - confident navigating the CMS and working within page builders such as Elementor
- A strong eye for detail - able to spot when something doesn't match the brief, when an image is the wrong size, or when copy doesn't read correctly, and confident enough to flag it
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple client accounts and concurrent projects without missing deadlines
- Excellent written English communication skills and strong attention to detail - clear, professional, and client-appropriate
- Strong interpersonal skills with the confidence to chase clients, manage expectations, and escalate when needed
- A good working knowledge of digital marketing - sufficient to understand client goals, interpret campaign activity, and respond sensibly to client questions
- Self-motivated and reliable - able to work independently and manage workload without close supervision

Desirable
- Familiarity with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Google Search Console
- Experience preparing client-facing reports and performance summaries
- Understanding of web project workflows - from wireframe and design through to development and QA
- Experience coordinating social media and content campaigns, ideally using a scheduling or approval platform such as Planable, Hootsuite, or similar
