About the Company

We are the outsourced marketing department for a dozen UK restaurant brands, from single sites to six-restaurant groups. Clients hitting £100k weeks, videos past 20 million views, number one spots on TripAdvisor. Behind the content sits Slate, our own operating platform, and an AI-heavy stack running scheduling, client portals, campaigns and per-client agents.

Role Overview

This seat owns the accounts day to day. Every client knows what is coming, every promise has an owner and a date, and nothing reaches a client that we have not checked. You are the first person a client calls, and the reason the founder does not have to be.

It is a hybrid role. Remote by default, on the road across the UK for shoots and client visits, with travel and stays paid. Our clients are restaurants. The person they deal with should be able to walk into the room, see what the place is actually like, be there on shoot days, and bring that back into the plan.

Responsibilities

  • Client Management: A portfolio of restaurant clients day to day: the relationship, the month ahead, and everything we have promised them.
  • Client Health: A short weekly check-in with every client, and a Monday status on every account. On track, at risk, or blocked, and why.
  • Shoot Planning: With the Creative Director: concepts, casting, shot lists, and the crew's travel and accommodation booked and confirmed.
  • Campaigns: From brief to go-live: what is owed, by whom, by when, and chasing anything sitting with the client.
  • Task List Management: Across every account, visible in Slate, with honest time frames and a clear view of what is waiting on whom.
  • Approval Loop: Every client knows content is waiting, knows the 48-hour window, and says yes or asks for changes in time.
  • Posting Schedule: Full on each client's cadence, with a plan ready when a shoot moves or content runs short.
  • Concept Ideas: Add ideas worth using, rather than only taking notes.
  • Hard Conversations: A missed post, a complaint, a renewal. Facts ready before you pick up the phone.
  • Renewal Case: What we delivered, what moved, what is blocked on their side, so the founder walks in with it already built.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Daily Tasks

  • Take a brief, confirm it back in a few lines, then run it end to end.
  • Handle client WhatsApp and email yourself, in our voice, without every message being checked first.
  • Click every link, test every flow, and attach the evidence when you report something done.
  • Sort crew trains and hotels for a shoot, confirm the concepts and the cast, and send the client a plan for the day they can forward to their team.
  • Spot a gap in next week's schedule and fill it from footage we already hold, before the client notices.
  • Re-order a client's task list when their priorities move, show them what shifted and why, and have the team on the right thing by lunchtime.
  • Chase the onboarding pieces a new client owes us without becoming the person who only ever messages to chase.
  • Escalate anything you are stuck on quickly, with what you have already ruled out.

Requirements

  • Three or more years as an account manager or account executive at a marketing, social or creative agency, ideally hospitality or consumer brands.
  • Organised to the point of calm. Ten live accounts and you still know exactly what is due this week.
  • A creative eye. You can hold your own in a creative conversation.
  • Comfortable being the client's first call, including when the news is bad.
  • You verify by reflex. You would not say a link works without clicking it.
  • Confident with AI tools in daily marketing work, and in checking what they produce before anyone else sees it.
  • UK based, with the right to work here, and happy to travel.
  • Strategy experience is a nice to have, not a requirement. This is a doing seat, not a deck seat.

Important Considerations

This seat is not for you if you want a strategy-deck role, if you would rather not travel, if you need every client message approved before you send it, or if you would rather send a careful email than pick up the phone when something has gone wrong.

How It Works

  • Employment Type: Full time, 40 hours, PAYE or contract to suit. Hours flexible around UK hospitality, with the odd early start or late finish around shoots.
  • Salary: Agreed on experience and reviewed after three months. We do not publish a figure because we want your number rather than an echo of ours. The form asks for it.
  • Location: Hybrid: remote by default, on the road to clients across the UK when it matters, travel and stays paid.
  • Tools: Slate, our own platform; Frame.io, Buffer, ManyChat, Meta Business Suite, Google Workspace, WhatsApp groups with every client; Claude and AI agents in daily use.

Hiring Process

  1. Apply on the form: About fifteen minutes. Every application is read by a human and everyone gets an answer.
  2. Interviews: A conversation with the founder, then a second with the Creative Director and the Senior Marketing Operations Lead.
  3. Trial Period: A paid trial of two weeks on real client work, off the client accounts.
  4. Further Trial: If that goes well, a further two weeks paid, this time inside the client accounts so you are shipping deliverables rather than shadowing.

No long interview process and no take-home exercise written for its own sake. You do the actual job, paid, and we both decide from there.

Apply on our site: https://internal.socialsgroup.com/careers/role-marketing-account-manager-uk. It takes about fifteen minutes.
