About Marketing4TheTrade

Marketing4TheTrade is a specialist marketing company serving the fire, security, electrical and wider trades. We work closely with manufacturers, wholesalers and installers, combining industry knowledge with targeted marketing strategies that increase visibility, generate leads and support sustainable growth.

Due to our continued expansion within Marketing4TheTrade, we are looking for a talented and commercially focused Marketing Account Manager to join our growing team.

About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Middlesbrough.

As Marketing Account Manager, you will manage the day-to-day relationships with a portfolio of trade clients. You will take the time to understand their businesses, products, customers and commercial objectives, turning these insights into effective marketing strategies and campaigns.

You will oversee projects from initial brief through to delivery, coordinating internal and external resources while ensuring deadlines, budgets and quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact for a portfolio of clients
  • Build and maintain strong, trusted client relationships
  • Understand each client’s business, market and commercial objectives
  • Develop marketing plans and campaign ideas tailored to client requirements
  • Manage social media, email, website, content and lead-generation campaigns
  • Coordinate internal team members and external suppliers
  • Write, review and approve marketing content
  • Manage project schedules, client approvals, budgets and deliverables
  • Lead client meetings and provide clear, proactive progress updates
  • Monitor campaign performance and prepare client reports
  • Present campaign results and recommend improvements
  • Identify opportunities to add value and develop client accounts
  • Ensure all work is accurate, professional and consistent with each client’s brand

About You

We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive and commercially minded, with the confidence to manage client relationships and multiple marketing projects.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in account management, marketing or client services
  • Strong client relationship and retention skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A good understanding of digital marketing, social media and content
  • Strong project management and organisational abilities
  • The confidence to lead meetings and present ideas and results
  • Experience managing multiple clients, campaigns and deadlines
  • A commercial mindset with an understanding of sales and lead generation
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work
  • The ability to analyse campaign data and produce clear reports
  • Experience using CRM, project management or marketing platforms
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a growing team
  • Experience in B2B or trade-focused marketing, particularly within the fire, security or electrical sectors, would be beneficial but is not essential.
