Shape the future of customer growth at Zempler Bank

The Role

At Zempler Bank, we're on a mission to help small businesses thrive. As we continue our growth journey, we're looking for a Marketing Acquisition Director to lead how we identify, attract and convert the customers we choose to win.

This is a high-impact leadership role with responsibility for building and delivering a customer-led growth strategy that drives sustainable commercial results. You'll bring together customer insight, brand, campaigns, channels, creative capability and performance marketing into one integrated growth engine, ensuring every pound invested delivers measurable value.

Working closely with Product, Data, Customer Experience, Risk, Operations and Commercial teams, you'll play a key role in shaping the future direction of the bank and helping us win in the markets that matter most.

What you'll be doing

As Marketing Acquisition Director, you'll be accountable for creating and embedding an enterprise-wide view of our customers, ensuring that customer insight sits at the heart of strategic decision-making.

You'll:

  • Develop and evolve Zempler's customer segmentation strategy, personas and Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs).
  • Create a shared customer lens across Product, Risk, Operations, Commercial and CX teams.
  • Translate customer and market insight into clear go-to-market strategies and commercial priorities.
  • Lead the growth of the Zempler brand across our priority sectors and customer segments.
  • Own integrated acquisition campaigns, from strategy and planning through to execution and performance measurement.
  • Manage acquisition investment and channel strategy to maximise customer growth and return on investment.
  • Lead acquisition performance across liability products, optimising conversion, customer quality and customer acquisition costs.
  • Build and develop a high-performing marketing and acquisition capability.
  • Partner closely with Product Directors to ensure proposition and go-to-market strategies work seamlessly together.
  • Embed a culture of experimentation, continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making.
  • Ensure all activity meets regulatory requirements and delivers good customer outcomes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
