Retail Media – Marketing Activation Assistant
10 week Contract | Inside IR35 | London (Hybrid)
A leading UK retail brand is looking for a Marketing Activation Assistant to join their Retail Media team on an initial contract basis. Retail Media is one of the fastest-growing parts of this business, and this role sits at the heart of delivering the campaigns that make it work — for customers, for the retailer, and for the supplier brands that fund the activity.
The role
You'll support the Marketing Activation Managers and Specialists in delivering the annual calendar of brand and seasonal campaigns, from writing the initial brief through to briefing channels for activation and tracking performance once campaigns are live. You'll be a key link between brands, internal teams, and the media plan — making sure the right assets land in the right place, on time.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
