About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Marketing Data Specialist to join our dynamic team at Portman Asset Finance Ltd. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in empowering the marketing department and the broader business with actionable insights derived from data analysis, segmentation, research, and profiling. Your primary responsibility will be to systematically monitor and report on campaign performance and market trends, enabling the company to identify new opportunities for revenue growth and campaign optimization. You will collaborate closely with the Head of Marketing, the marketing team, and the technology department to develop and implement data-driven strategies that enhance campaign effectiveness and customer engagement. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, ensuring that data insights translate into tangible business improvements.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in a data-centric marketing or analytics role, demonstrating a proven ability to interpret complex data sets and generate strategic recommendations. Essential qualifications include advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with analytical tools such as ZohoCRM and Zoho Analytics. Experience in measuring and executing test-and-learn approaches across various channels is highly desirable. Candidates should possess strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities within large data sets. A solid understanding of marketing metrics, campaign measurement, and segmentation techniques is necessary. Furthermore, excellent communication skills, curiosity, and a collaborative mindset are critical for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive campaign analysis and market intelligence to the marketing team and senior management, focusing on improving campaign ROI across channels such as email, social media, direct mail, and digital advertising.
  • Implement systematic reporting processes to monitor campaign performance, track trends, and identify opportunities for optimization and growth.
  • Create detailed customer segmentation models, identifying groups with similar patterns or characteristics that represent viable sales opportunities. Collaborate with the tech team to integrate tested segmentation types into the CRM system.
  • Generate targeted contact lists for email and direct mail campaigns, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
  • Advise on digital advertising audience targeting strategies, utilizing data insights to enhance campaign effectiveness.
  • Conduct competitive research, analyze market trends, and gather intelligence on lenders and competitors to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Develop detailed customer profiles based on research findings to improve messaging, personalization, and targeting efforts across marketing channels.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data-driven initiatives, ensuring measurable outcomes and continuous improvement.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot data issues, propose innovative solutions, and support the adoption of new analytical tools and techniques.
