About the Role
Gearset is looking for a Marketing Analyst to define, measure, and optimise how we capture and create market demand. You’ll partner closely with our GTM and Data teams to build out our marketing analytics capabilities from the ground up.
In this role, you will turn raw data into clear strategic direction for the wider business. You’ll serve as the vital link connecting marketing performance with overarching growth drivers.
What’s the Opportunity?
You’ll play a foundational role in ensuring our marketing data is accurate, accessible, and actionable.
- You’ll act as the vital bridge between Marketing and the Data team, connecting marketing data with insights from across the business to build a fuller picture of growth drivers.
- You'll be the driving force behind Marketing’s goal to become even more data-driven.
- You'll help build a single source of truth for our marketing and digital data, monitoring performance proactively, and digging into the "why" behind the numbers to deliver insights that generate real value for Gearset.
What You’ll Achieve
- Partner with Data Engineering to consolidate marketing data in our warehouse, bringing together a wide range of datasets to create a strong foundation for marketing analytics and reporting.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to produce meaningful business metrics that monitor and diagnose marketing performance.
- Using the data models and KPIs you’ve helped shape, you’ll diagnose fluctuations and analyse the impact of new campaigns and initiatives.
- Delivering deep-dive analyses, you’ll identify opportunities for improvement and partner with marketing stakeholders to measure the impact of new campaigns and initiatives.
- Contextualise shifts in performance against external factors such as market conditions, seasonality, product changes, and competitor activity.
- Add to the existing semantic layer, build accessible dashboards, and give teams across Gearset the tools to explore data independently.
- Champion the use of these tools across Marketing, promoting good data habits and visibility of marketing performance.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
