About Nexus Black
Nexus Black is an AI-first business within IFS, built to move quickly, challenge traditional ways of working, and turn the potential of AI into real-world outcomes for enterprise customers. We build AI to solve hard problems for the industries that keep the world turning: up on power lines, down on factory floors, and out in the field.
Our products — Resolve (field service and predictive maintenance), Flow (production planning), Comply (regulatory compliance) and Reason (analytical reasoning) — are used by technicians and engineers who cannot afford a tool that doesn't work first time. We pair 40 years of IFS industrial depth with the technical pace of a start-up, and we get results in weeks, not months.
We're building a team of highly capable, high-ownership people who are comfortable operating across traditional boundaries. We care less about rigid job descriptions and more about people who can understand a problem, get hands-on, and own the outcome.
The Role
We're looking for a Marketing and Brand Designer to be the visual engine of our marketing team. Someone equally comfortable designing a social carousel, laying out a leaflet, mocking up an event booth, and cutting a short motion piece for video. You'll work closely with marketing, events, and content colleagues to make sure every touchpoint, digital or physical looks and feels unmistakably NxB.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
This is a hands-on, generalist creative role. You won't specialise in one format; you'll flex across all of them, often in the same week.
What You'll Do
- Design social content across channels (LinkedIn, X, etc.) — static and short-form
- Build and maintain website content and landing page assets
- Design print and physical collateral: leaflets, one-pagers, sales materials
- Create event assets: booth mockups, floor plans, signage, banners, and on-site branding
- Produce motion graphics and video assets — edits, animated graphics, social cuts, event loops
- Partner closely with the marketing team to translate campaign briefs into visual output at speed
- Maintain and evolve brand consistency across every format you touch
- Manage multiple concurrent projects with tight event/campaign deadlines
Skills & Experience
Core (must-have):
- Strong portfolio spanning both digital and physical design (not purely digital-only work)
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or Figma equivalent
- Working knowledge of motion/video tools (After Effects, Premiere Pro, or similar)
- Experience designing for print production (bleed, CMYK, file prep for printers)
- Experience with event/environmental design — booth layouts, signage, large-format print
- Solid grasp of brand systems — typography, colour, layout consistency across formats
- Comfortable working directly with a marketing team, turning briefs around quickly

Nice-to-have:
- 3D mockup / rendering skills for booth or environment visualisation (SketchUp, Cinema 4D, or similar)
- Basic animation/motion design beyond edits (Lottie, simple 2D animation)
- Photography or videography experience for event/on-site content capture
- Familiarity with web design handoff (Webflow, or working alongside developers)
What Success Looks Like
- Marketing campaigns launch with consistent, on-brand assets across every channel without bottlenecks
- Events are visually strong on-site — from signage to booth to leaflets — with minimal last-minute scrambling
- Social and video content feels distinct, not templated, and holds up against category competitors
