Commercial Marketing Coordinator

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am–4pm | Exploding Bakery Office

We’re looking for a Commercial Marketing Coordinator to play a key role in the continued growth of our online shop and wholesale business.

This is a varied, hands-on marketing role that connects the whole company — helping communicate the Exploding Bakery brand, values and products to both our customers and our team.

Working closely with Sales, NPD, Operations and the wider business, you’ll help bring in new customers, retain existing ones and raise awareness of Exploding Bakery nationally.

You’ll be involved in everything from email marketing, social media and paid advertising to content creation, SEO, trade shows and collaborations. We’re looking for someone who is organised, creative, commercially minded and happy to get stuck in.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write, manage and schedule Mailchimp newsletters and automated campaigns
  • Proficiency in English language with excellent communication skills for internal collaboration and external outreach
  • Manage and optimise paid advertising across Meta, Google, LinkedIn and other relevant platforms
  • Write, manage and schedule social media content
  • Research, plan and direct photo and video shoots
  • Create basic graphic layouts, carry out basic photo editing and prepare assets for export
  • Create and publish Journal content on the website, with a focus on SEO
  • Produce monthly reports covering customer acquisition, retention and churn
  • Monitor and report on ROI and ROAS from marketing and advertising campaigns
  • Plan and coordinate new cake launches with the NPD and Sales teams
  • Research and plan collaborations and partnerships
  • Maintain and improve the Shopify webshop, liaising with designers and developers on updates and fixes
  • Manage Trustpilot and Judge.me reviews and testimonials
  • Liaise with local charities regarding cake donations, working with the Warehouse Manager to coordinate collections
  • Research and plan trade shows and events with the Sales team
  • Research market trends, competitors and other bakeries, using insights to help inform product development and marketing activity
  • Manage and keep the hello@ email address organised and up to date
  • Manage and develop Google marketing tools, including GA4, Google Ads, Merchant Centre, Search Console, Looker Studio and SEO indexing
  • Ensure marketing campaigns are aligned with our brand values, messaging and guidelines across all channels
  • Identify and implement ways to improve ecommerce customer service and experience
  • Manage and oversee the production of printed marketing materials, including POS and trade show materials
  • Attend a weekly meeting with your manager to report on progress, discuss any issues or requirements, and plan upcoming activity
  • Maintain our 1% for the Planet partnership
  • Be part of the B Corp team, helping us achieve certification and maintain our standards
  • Follow and champion Exploding Bakery brand guidelines and guardrails

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
