Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Marketing and Communications Manager to lead the full mix of our external communications. Whilst you will be able to influence senior leadership and bring in new ideas, this is not a role for someone who wants to delegate and oversee from a distance: you will be personally writing, editing and shaping content, running campaigns day to day, and getting into the detail of every deliverable that carries the Oxera name.

You will take ownership of our thought leadership campaigns, working closely with the Head of Brand, Marketing and Communication, and will be responsible for the creation of all forms of marketing content, from direct communications and podcasts to thought leadership articles and videography. You will also safeguard the integrity of our brand's visual, verbal and sonic identity, and help raise the company's profile through media and PR opportunities.

Key responsibilities

  • Contribute to the strategic direction of thought leadership campaigns.
  • Deliver and optimise integrated marketing campaigns, based on market segments, to win new customers and build repeat business; ensure campaign implementation follows organisational strategy and supports teams in growing their portfolios.
  • Manage all marketing content delivery end to end, including (but not limited to) articles, podcasts, videography and direct communications.
  • Work with the Events Programme Manager to shape and deliver events content and marketing strategies that optimise our events programme, delivery and objectives.
  • Develop and manage the brand, producing supporting materials and assets across visual, verbal and sonic identities.
  • Manage PR and media opportunities, including for company announcements and thought leadership campaigns.
  • Manage and optimise the company's and colleagues' profiles through directories, memberships and sponsorships.
  • Lead company-wide targeted recruitment marketing campaigns to attract relevant candidates into the recruitment pipeline.
  • Support our digital channels, optimising the website and social media platforms to improve visibility, engagement and lead generation.
  • Use audience engagement and relationship data to inform strategy and turn insights into action.
  • Apply AI, automation and emerging technologies to enhance marketing performance and personalise campaigns.
  • Track performance, producing reports and dashboards to inform decision making and continuously improve our marketing activity.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What we are looking for

Essential:

  • A genuine hands-on operator: someone who is comfortable writing, editing and producing content directly, not just briefing others to do it.
  • Excellent copywriting skills, with the ability to write clearly, persuasively and in a distinctive brand voice across formats.
  • Exceptional attention to detail: every piece of content that goes out under the Oxera name must be accurate, polished and on-brand.
  • A confident communicator who can guide partners through marketing decisions and campaigns, bringing them along with clear advice and rationale, rather than simply instructing them.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience running integrated campaigns from strategy through to delivery and optimisation.
  • Experience in brand management, PR and media relations.
  • A collaborative approach, with the ability to work closely with senior stakeholders, including partners and the Events Programme Manager.
  • Experience with HubSpot.
