Job Description
Job Title: Marketing & Communication Manager
Department: UK Business Unit – Programme Delivery
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Flexible)
Contract Type: Permanent
Location: UK Remote-Flexible (Based in the UK – Must have the right to work in the UK with no restrictions)
Salary: £50,000 GBP pa
Travel Requirements: Some national travel, with occasional overnight stays
Overview Of The Role
The Marketing & Communications Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping, delivering, and communicating a major programme. Reporting to the Head of Partnerships & Engagement, you will lead integrated marketing and communications activity that builds awareness, demonstrates programme impact, engages key audiences, and showcases the outputs and outcomes being delivered across target sectors.
Working closely with programme, partnerships, engagement, delivery, and stakeholder teams, you'll create compelling content, deliver targeted campaigns, manage communication channels, and ensure the programme's purpose, progress, impact, and outputs are clearly understood by audiences. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and strategic marketing professional who is passionate about storytelling, engagement, and evidencing meaningful change.

Key Responsibilities
Your core responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and deliver the programme marketing and communications strategy, ensuring alignment with programme objectives, milestones, audiences, impact priorities, and required outputs.
- Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns that promote the programme's aims, activities, resources, participant opportunities, thought leadership, and measurable impact across target audiences.
- Manage and enhance the programme's identity and narrative, ensuring consistency across all communications, marketing materials, stakeholder updates, and digital channels.
- Create, commission, and oversee the production of high-quality content, including case studies, impact stories, participant communications, newsletters, reports, presentations, website copy, and materials that evidence programme outputs.
- Lead the management and development of the programme's digital presence, including web pages, social media content, email marketing, resource promotion, and other communication channels.
- Support programme partnerships, stakeholder engagement, recruitment, and participation activity through compelling marketing collateral, messaging, briefings, and promotional materials.
- Plan and coordinate programme events, webinars, showcases, sector engagement activity, and dissemination opportunities that strengthen visibility, participation, and understanding of programme impact.
- Monitor and evaluate marketing and communications performance, using data and insights to optimise activity, evidence engagement, and demonstrate contribution to programme outcomes and impact.
- Build relationships with delivery partners, contributors, agencies, suppliers, media contacts, and sector stakeholders to maximise programme communications, reach, and influence.
- Provide communications advice and support to programme and internal stakeholders, ensuring key messages are clear, engaging, audience-focused, and aligned with programme priorities.

Programme Impact and Outputs
- Deliver a coordinated marketing and communications programme that supports successful programme delivery, participation, engagement, and visibility.
- Increase awareness and understanding of the programme across target audiences, sector partners, delivery stakeholders, and participant communities.
- Produce high-quality communications, campaigns, resources, case studies, and impact content that demonstrate programme progress, outputs, outcomes, and value.
- Strengthen audience engagement across digital platforms, events, stakeholder communications, and programme channels, with clear evidence of reach and response.
- Provide meaningful communications insights, engagement data, and performance reporting that support continuous improvement, informed decision-making, and clear evidence of programme impact.
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications
Essential
- Significant experience in marketing, communications, brand management, or a related role.
- Proven experience developing and delivering successful marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create engaging content for a variety of audiences and platforms.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media management, email marketing, and content marketing principles.
- Experience managing websites, content management systems, and digital communication tools.
- Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience analysing marketing performance data and using insights to drive continuous improvement.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across internal and external networks.
- Degree-level qualification or equivalent professional experience in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, or a related discipline.
- Knowledge of CRM systems, marketing automation platforms, and analytics tools.

- Professional marketing qualification such as CIM, CIPR, or equivalent.
- Experience working within education, professional services, public sector, or international development environments.
- Experience managing external agencies, creative suppliers, or media relationships.
- Understanding of the UK education sectors.
