Marketing & Communications Officer (Temporary)

Our client, a leading professional membership organisation, is seeking a talented Marketing & Communications Officer to join their team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a communications professional with strong digital marketing and copywriting skills to support member engagement initiatives, campaigns, events, and marketing communications.
The Role
Reporting to the Digital Marketing Project Manager, you will support the planning, creation, and delivery of marketing and communications activity aimed at engaging existing and prospective members. A key focus of the role will be developing compelling email communications, supporting membership campaigns, and creating high-quality content across digital channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Write and edit engaging communications content for a variety of audiences.
- Build, test, and deploy email campaigns, newsletters, and automated communications.
- Support membership engagement, retention, and awareness campaigns.
- Manage audience segmentation through CRM and email marketing platforms.
- Coordinate communication schedules and campaign activity.
- Produce and update branded marketing materials and assets.
- Monitor campaign performance and contribute ideas for continuous improvement.
- Build effective working relationships with stakeholders across the organisation.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in a marketing, communications, or member engagement role.
- Strong copywriting, proofreading, and content creation skills.
- Experience creating and managing email marketing campaigns.
- Knowledge of CRM and email marketing systems.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and work to tight deadlines.
Desirable:
- Experience working within a membership body, charity, or not-for-profit organisation.
- Experience using Salesforce and/or Dotdigital.
- Marketing, Communications, or PR qualification.
