Walk the Plank seeks a brilliant Marketing & Communications Officer to support the development and implementation of the company’s sales and marketing strategy.
Our marketing and communications department plays a key role in promoting what we do to potential clients, engaging participants, and working collaboratively with clients to promote our work to audiences.
We are looking for a highly competent marketing professional to make an impact in this fast-paced role, which sits at the heart of our team, and which will draw upon a range of skills across the full marketing mix.

Job Description:
To work as part of the Marketing Team alongside the Head of Marketing to plan and deliver the company's core new business, marketing, and communications functions in an efficient and effective way.

Your primary focus is to support the development and implementation of the company's sales and marketing strategy, acting as the central point of information for all staff who play a role in selling and promoting the company's work, liaising with promoters as necessary, and proactively ensuring all leads are followed through.
This is a small department with additional support from freelance staff, so you will need an agile approach to working across a range of different projects simultaneously. The key purpose of your role is to ensure we continue to sustain a healthy pipeline of new work and prospects, while also managing relationships we have with existing clients.
You must be willing to travel to selected shows and events in the UK, which may include evening and weekend working. In some instances, there may be a requirement to travel abroad – you must hold a valid Passport. A driving licence is not essential, but desirable.

Basic Role Information
SALARY: £27,000 - £29,000 PA (depending on experience)
RESPONSIBLE TO: Head of Marketing
LOCATION: Salford, UK – some UK and International travel may be required.
LIAISON WITH: Walk the Plank’s permanent and freelance staff, Walk the Plank’s public and corporate sector clients, events and organisation sponsors, funders including Arts Council England, and suppliers.
