ABPCO Marketing & Engagement Lead

The ABPCO Marketing & Engagement Lead is responsible for developing and delivering high-impact marketing, communication, and engagement plans to drive membership growth, retain existing members, and increase uptake of our CPD learning provision. The postholder also works closely with the Executive Director and Operations Lead to deliver ABPCO’s growing programme of in-person and virtual events, including our annual Festival of Learning and Awards events.

In this new role, you’ll be regularly meeting with members, potential members, and other stakeholders to discuss ABPCO’s work and ensure our value proposition continues to meet their needs. Outstanding stakeholder communication skills are essential, as is a good eye for detail.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement marketing, communication, and engagement plans to improve member experience and drive growth in membership and CPD.
  • Lead on all marketing activities, including social media management, email marketing, sponsorship and exhibition sales, graphic design, developing video content, and advertising.
  • Meet with current and potential members, as well as other stakeholders, to raise awareness of ABPCO, better understand the needs of our community, and identify growth opportunities.
  • Optimise the ABPCO website to improve user experience.
  • Represent ABPCO at our events and third-party meetings/conferences.
  • Work as part of a project team to develop and deliver our growing programme of face-to-face and online events, training courses, and roundtable meetings.
  • Manage assigned ABPCO member groups, committees, and taskforces; supporting and motivating volunteers.
  • Provide support/cover as required for the Executive Director and Operations Lead.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as identified by the Executive Director.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
