MARKETING & EVENTS EXEC.

ROLE OVERVIEW

This role is responsible for supporting the delivery of Northern Bloc’s marketing and events activity, ensuring smooth execution across events, POS, logistics, and day-to-day marketing operations. The position sits at the centre of multiple departments, acting as the operational and support link between marketing, sales, warehouse, and external partners, to ensure activity is delivered efficiently, on time, and to brand standard.

This is a hands-on, operational role that owns the detail, ensuring every event, asset and activation runs smoothly so marketing can focus on brand and sales can focus on growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Event Support

  • Manage and maintain the master event schedule and calendar
  • Coordinate full event logistics including stock, transport, access, and timings
  • Prepare, pack and organise all event kit and materials
  • Liaise with warehouse to ensure stock and assets are picked, packed, and ready
  • Ensure all consumables (samples, POS, uniforms, etc.) are fully stocked ahead of events
  • Coordinate delivery, install, derig and return of event equipment
  • Liaise with external event partners (e.g. Bidfood, YF teams) on requirements and logistics
  • Support larger events led by the wider marketing and sales teams
  • Occasionally provide on-site support including setup, sampling, and engaging with potential customers
  • Assist sales team on site with brand representation and product storytelling
  • Conduct post-event follow-up, returns, and stock reconciliation
  • Support team to provide relevant H&S and information requests from external event organisers.

POS & Asset Management

  • Manage POS orders from internal teams, wholesalers, and stockists
  • Coordinate packing and dispatch of POS via warehouse
  • Book and manage courier collections and deliveries
  • Maintain oversight of POS stock levels in collaboration with warehouse
  • Liaise with suppliers and Sarah Hallblowers to replenish stock as required
  • Organise and maintain storage of marketing materials and assets

Marketing & Brand Support

  • Support the marketing team with general campaign execution
  • Source local suppliers and obtain quotes for print, production, and materials
  • Assist with creation and rollout of on-site POS and campaign materials
  • Provide administrative support on marketing projects where required

General Marketing Operations

  • Manage the hello@ inbox and respond or triage enquiries appropriately
  • Support with merchandise sourcing, quoting, and ordering
  • Assist with raising purchase orders and tracking spend
  • Chase invoices and support finance processes
  • Respond to general, varied internal and external marketing enquiries

Freezer & Stockist Support

  • Support freezer rollout, movement, and tracking alongside warehouse and Sarah Hallblowers
  • Assist with freezer branding, maintenance coordination, and asset tracking
  • Support stockist setup and general trade requests

Cross-Functional Responsibilities

Act as a central point of coordination and support between:

  • Marketing
  • Sales
  • Warehouse & Operations
  • Office / Finance
  • External partners and suppliers

Ensure clear communication across teams so that:

  • Events are correctly planned and delivered
  • Stock and POS are available when required
  • Operational execution supports broader commercial goals

  • Confident communicator across teams and external partners
  • Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Practical, yet creative. Flexible, solutions-focused mindset
  • Willingness to travel and support events where required
  • Full UK Driving license. Must be comfortable driving a van.
  • Must LOVE ice cream!
