Marketing & Events Lead

Location: Bournemouth

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience (£30k- £32K Pro Rata)

Hours: Full-time/Part-time (Minimum 3+ days a week)

Join Our Team

We are looking for a proactive and creative Marketing & Events Lead to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role combining marketing, communications, digital content, and event management.

Working closely with colleagues across the firm and our external creative agency, you will help raise our profile, strengthen client engagement, and support a range of marketing and business development initiatives. From managing social media and website content to coordinating client and staff events, no two days will be the same.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing & Communications

  • Assist in the creation and distribution of marketing materials, including online content, brochures, newsletters, legal updates, and client communications.
  • Maintain and update the firm's website, ensuring content remains accurate and engaging.
  • Manage and develop the firm's social media presence across relevant platforms.
  • Coordinate email marketing campaigns and monitor performance metrics.
  • Support internal communications and staff engagement initiatives.
  • Develop and monitor SEO/AEO strategy.

Events & Business Development

  • Be responsible for the planning and logistical delivery of client events, seminars, webinars, sponsorship activities, and networking opportunities.
  • Coordinate firm-wide staff events, including the Christmas Party, Summer BBQ, charity initiatives, and other social events.
  • Liaise with venues, suppliers, designers, printers, and other external partners.
  • Help promote events through digital and traditional marketing channels.

Research & Administration

  • Conduct market research to identify opportunities and trends.
  • Monitor developments within the legal sector and support thought leadership campaigns.
  • Provide general administrative support for marketing and business development activities.

About You

We're looking for a highly organised individual with excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail. You will be confident managing multiple projects, building relationships with colleagues and suppliers, and bringing fresh ideas to the firm's marketing and events programme.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Previous marketing, events, or business development experience (or otherwise have recently graduated in a marketing degree).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience managing social media platforms and creating engaging content.
  • A professional, proactive, and collaborative approach.
  • Good working knowledge of key digital marketing concepts.

Desirable

  • Experience working within a legal, professional services, or regulated environment.
  • Experience using website content management systems (such as WordPress).
  • Knowledge of email marketing platforms (such as Mailchimp).
  • Experience coordinating corporate events and client-facing activities.
  • Understanding of responsible application of AI.
