Marketing and Growth Lead (Co-founder Track)

About Ryser

Ryser is an AI copilot for the job search. The platform tailors a candidate's CV to any job description within seconds, shows exactly what has changed, and grounds every line in their real experience rather than inventing it. Alongside CV tailoring, Ryser matches candidates to live vacancies across more than seventeen job boards in six regions including the GCC, scores CVs against the applicant tracking systems that will screen them, drafts cover letters, and tracks applications through to offer stage. The core product is free permanently; a Pro tier at £9 per month adds live AI mock interviews, recruiter and referral outreach, and offer comparison.

The company exists to make well-prepared job applications available to everyone, rather than only to those who can afford professional career support.

The platform was designed and built by the founder and is live, with users already securing interviews through it. The immediate priority is distribution: building awareness among job seekers and converting that awareness into sign-ups.

The Role

Ryser is seeking a marketing and growth lead to take ownership of the entire demand side of the business. This is a founding appointment with a defined route to equity rather than a conventional employed position, and it will suit someone who wants substantial ownership of a function and, in time, of the company.

The successful candidate will set the marketing strategy and deliver it independently, working directly with the founder, who continues to lead product and engineering. There is no existing marketing team, no established playbook and no agency support; building all three forms part of the role.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Desirable

  • Working knowledge of Figma or Canva for producing launch assets
  • Short-form video production and editing

Structure and Compensation

Ryser is pre-revenue and self-funded, and the position does not carry a salary at this stage. It is structured instead as a route to co-founder equity.

The appointment begins with a six-month working period, during which the successful candidate holds full responsibility for marketing. Following a review at the end of that period, and subject to agreement on both sides, the role converts to a founding equity stake of between 4 and 8 per cent, held on a four-year vesting schedule with a twelve-month cliff. The initial six months count towards that cliff.

Terms covering equity, vesting, intellectual property and departure arrangements will be agreed and set out in writing before the working period begins.

Candidates who require a salary are asked not to apply, as the position is unable to accommodate one at present.

How to Apply

Please send the following to theryserapp@gmail.com:

  1. A short covering note setting out your interest in Ryser
  2. Links to any audience, community or product you have grown, with supporting figures
  3. A brief proposal, in no more than three sentences, identifying the platform on which you would launch Ryser first, your reasoning, and an outline of the listing copy you would write

Applications that omit the third item will not be considered. All applicants who include it will receive a response.
