About Us

OTIF Ventures backs extraordinary founders turning scientific research into products addressing the world's greatest challenges. We invest in deep-science spinouts from Oxford, Cambridge, and other world-leading UK research institutions — from Seed through to Exit.

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive, digitally fluent Marketing and Investor Relations Manager to become the front-of-house voice of the firm with our existing and prospective investors. This is a hands-on, relationship-building role for someone who is comfortable meeting in person with investors, and both picking up the phone or sending a personal note to an investor, as well as building our presence on social media and other digital channels.

You will be the person investors think of when they think of us - informed and knowledgeable about potential investments, responsive, and easy to reach - while also shaping how we present ourselves publicly to attract new investors and opportunities.

This is not a back-office marketing role. We want someone who understands the attention economy, knows how content travels, and isn't afraid to reach out directly to people.

Key Responsibilities

Investor Outreach & Relationship Management

Primary responsibility and focus

  • Identify and engage potential new investors through research, networking, leads from other members of the team, and direct outreach.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Secondary responsibilities

  • Proactively reach out to existing investors to maintain and strengthen relationships — check-ins, updates, and responsiveness to queries.
  • Act as a first point of contact for investor queries, ensuring a professional and timely response.
  • Maintain accurate records of investor interactions and relationship history (CRM).
  • Coordinate and support the preparation of investor updates, newsletters, and reporting materials.

Marketing & Content

  • Develop and execute a social media strategy across relevant platforms (e.g. LinkedIn) to build the firm's profile and reach.
  • Create engaging, on-brand content - posts, updates, short-form video, and written material - that reflects the firm's expertise and personality.
  • Monitor engagement and adapt content strategy based on what resonates.
  • Oversee preparation of marketing materials, company profiles, pitch decks, and presentations to a high standard.
  • Keep an eye on the competitive landscape and industry trends.

Events & Presence

  • Help organize investor and client events, and identify opportunities for the firm (and its people) to be visible — speaking opportunities, conferences, networking events.
  • Represent the firm at relevant events where appropriate.

What We're Looking For

  • A genuine interest in investor relations, marketing, or communications - financial services experience is a bonus, not a requirement.
  • A background in science or engineering, with the desire and ability to communicate the impact of breakthrough technology.
  • Strong understanding of and willingness to learn about social media platforms, content trends, and what drives engagement.
  • Confident and proven communicator, equally comfortable writing a LinkedIn post and picking up the phone to speak with an investor.
  • Proactive and self-directed - someone who spots opportunities to reach out rather than waiting to be asked.
  • Excellent written English and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable using digital tools (CRM systems, social media schedulers, AI tools to support content and research).
  • Professional, personable, and trustworthy - you'll be representing the firm directly to investors.
