Join The Retreat and Help Shape Our Future

The Retreat is seeking an ambitious, creative, and relationship-focused Marketing & Relationship Manager to lead our communications, marketing, and business development activities. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in raising the profile of one of the UK’s leading mental health organisations while helping to grow our services and impact.
You’ll develop innovative marketing campaigns, strengthen strategic partnerships, identify new business opportunities, and ensure our brand continues to reflect our values of compassion, collaboration, care, and community.

About the Role:

As Marketing & Relationship Manager, you’ll develop and deliver an annual Communications and Marketing Plan that supports organisational growth and strengthens our reputation locally, nationally, and internationally.

Working closely with senior leaders, external agencies, commissioners, partners, and colleagues across the organisation, you’ll build meaningful relationships, create engaging campaigns, and identify opportunities that increase awareness, enquiries, and income.

Key Responsibilities

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Developing and delivering the annual Communications and Marketing Plan.
  • Managing the annual marketing budget and reporting on expenditure.
  • Planning and delivering networking opportunities and marketing events.
  • Creating high-quality marketing materials that align with The Retreat’s brand guidelines.
  • Managing and developing The Retreat website alongside external web and SEO partners.
  • Producing regular reports on marketing performance, campaign outcomes, and future opportunities.
  • Raising awareness of The Retreat through digital marketing, social media, PR, and media engagement.
  • Developing targeted marketing campaigns that generate enquiries and support business growth.
  • Building strong relationships with commissioners, contractors, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Supporting senior leaders in developing a pipeline of future client demand.
  • Monitoring competitor activity and wider developments within the mental health sector.
  • Representing The Retreat at meetings, networking events, and partnership opportunities.
  • Identifying new campaigns, services, partnerships, and distribution channels that enhance our profile and generate new income.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
