Marketing and Social Media Manager
A unique and exciting opportunity for a part-time Marketing and Social Media Manager at the UK’s leading Health and Well-being Consultancy for the built environment Ekkist. The role would also involve helping to grow The Healthy Homes Checklist - a new digital assessment tool and independent registry for health in housing (originally developed by Ekkist).
This role will involve key responsibilities across marketing and social media. You will be joining a small and passionate team, working on marketing Ekkist and the HHC to businesses and consumers as we scale both businesses. The role comes with plenty of autonomy, and the ideal candidate will come with their own ideas and inspiration, ready to take the lead on delivering marketing and social media campaigns under the guidance of the Head of Marketing. As the new Healthy Homes Checklist has just received investment, you will be growing the social media presence from scratch. Meanwhile, Ekkist has a small social media presence, but because of an Instagram hacking a few years ago, the account is still small and has lots of room for growth and new ideas. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in health and well-being, ideally with an understanding of how the built environment impacts health. They will have plenty of ideas and initiative to help us communicate our product and services with creative flair.

- Understand (or be willing to quickly learn about) the market and monitor and report on the performance of all campaigns and website content.
- Possible involvement in PR campaigns and liaison with external PR agencies.
- Attend events and support with photos/filming of Ekkist / HHC speakers

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
