Digital Marketing Apprentice / Marketing Specialist

Location: UK
Type: Permanent / Apprentice
Level: Digital Marketing Apprenticeship – Level 3 or Level 6

The Opportunity

We’re supporting an established technology business operating within the UK insurance market as they look to bring a motivated and creative Digital Marketing Apprentice / Marketing Specialist into their Sales & Marketing team.

This is an opportunity to develop professionally through a formal Digital Marketing Apprenticeship, while gaining hands-on experience across the full marketing mix. You’ll play an active role in shaping the company’s external presence, supporting campaigns, creating content and helping strengthen its position within the insurance technology sector.

It’s a role suited to someone early in their marketing career who wants genuine responsibility rather than simply supporting from the sidelines.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Help manage and develop the company’s external brand and communications across digital and physical channels.
  • Maintain and improve the company website, ensuring content is accurate, engaging, user-friendly and optimised for search.
  • Support the planning and delivery of marketing campaigns across LinkedIn, email, digital advertising, trade media and other relevant channels.
  • Create engaging external content including social posts, articles, case studies, product communications, event materials and digital copy.
  • Manage and grow the company’s LinkedIn and wider social media presence.
  • Support the planning and delivery of industry conferences, exhibitions and other external events.
  • Work with external agencies, creative partners, PR contacts and event organisers where required.
  • Use CRM and marketing platforms such as HubSpot to support campaigns, audience segmentation and engagement.
  • Monitor competitor activity, industry developments and relevant market conversations to help inform marketing activity.
  • Track campaign performance and produce reports covering areas such as website engagement, social performance, email activity, events and lead generation.
  • Explore and use AI tools to improve the efficiency, quality and effectiveness of marketing activity, while applying appropriate judgement and quality control.
  • Work closely with the wider Sales & Marketing team to ensure marketing activity supports broader commercial objectives.
  • Complete the requirements of the Digital Marketing Apprenticeship and apply your learning directly within the business.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Eligibility to undertake a Level 3 or Level 6 Digital Marketing Apprenticeship, or be currently working towards one.
  • Some exposure to marketing through previous work, education, internships, university or personal projects.
  • Strong written communication skills and an ability to adapt your tone for different audiences.
  • An eye for detail and an interest in design, content and how brands present themselves.
  • Some familiarity with social media, website platforms/CMS or design tools such as Canva or Adobe would be beneficial.
  • An interest in learning marketing automation and CRM platforms, particularly HubSpot.
  • Good organisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach, with the confidence to take ownership as your experience develops.
  • An interest in technology, insurance or financial services would be advantageous, but isn't essential.
