Role Description
The Marketing Assistant will support the delivery of marketing and student recruitment activities for the University of Sunderland in London. This full-time, on-site role is based in the London Area, United Kingdom, and involves assisting with the planning and execution of campaigns across digital and traditional channels. - Supporting market research projects
- Coordinating marketing materials and events
- Updating website and social media content
- Helping maintain accurate marketing and recruitment data
- Responding to enquiries from prospective students
- Supporting open days and outreach activities
- Collaborating with academic and professional services teams to promote courses and student support services

The Marketing Assistant will contribute to brand consistency, maintain strong internal and external communications, and provide general administrative support to the marketing function.
Qualifications
- Communication Skills
- Strong Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication and the ability to adapt messaging for diverse audiences.
- Market Research Skills
- Market Research skills, including the ability to gather, analyze, and report on data relating to student recruitment and competitor activity.
- Customer Service Skills
- Customer Service skills, with a focus on delivering respectful, timely, and informed support to prospective and current students.
- Sales and Sales & Marketing Skills
- Sales and Sales & Marketing skills, including basic understanding of conversion funnels, promotional tactics, and stakeholder engagement.
- Relevant Skills
- Proficiency with common office and marketing software (e.g., MS Office, social media platforms, CRM systems) is beneficial.
- Qualifications
- A qualification in marketing, communications, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience, is preferred.
- Additional Requirements
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy, student-centered environment are highly valued.
- An understanding of the higher education sector and interest in supporting diverse student populations is an advantage.
