Marketing Assistant

Salary: £26,000–£28,000
Location: Hybrid
Reports to: Head of Marketing & Photography

We're looking for a brilliant Marketing Assistant to join the team at Julian Bowen and work closely with our Head of Marketing & Photography. This is a hands-on role for someone who loves marketing, has a good eye, can write, is ridiculously organised and, most importantly, likes getting things done.

We've got loads happening across the brand, from new product launches and campaigns to social content, email marketing, exhibitions and our growing in-house photography studio. We have the strategy and creative direction in place... now we're looking for someone who can help us bring more of it to life.

It's a great opportunity for someone early in their marketing career who wants to get properly involved, learn quickly and build experience across lots of different areas of marketing.

What you'll be doing

  • Email marketing
    • Help manage our email marketing calendar, creating and scheduling regular customer mailers around new product launches, campaigns, key ranges and business activity.
    • Draft copy in Mailchimp and Canva, build campaigns, check links and product information, schedule sends and help us understand what's performing.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

  • Social media

    • Help keep our LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok channels busy, turning our wider content plans into engaging day-to-day content.
    • That could mean writing captions, scheduling posts, creating simple content, editing short-form video, capturing behind-the-scenes moments or turning what's happening around the business into something worth talking about.
  • Copy & content

    • There's always something to write.
    • Support with blogs, website copy, product stories, campaign messaging, new launches and other content across the business. We're looking for someone who can write naturally without the reliance of AI, understand tone of voice and adapt writing depending on where the content is going.
  • And everything in between..! Marketing here is varied.

    • You'll work directly with the Head of Marketing & Photography across product launches, brochures, presentations, exhibitions including the January Furniture Show, campaign planning, photography and the general day-to-day running of a very busy marketing department.
    • Some weeks you'll be working on a big product launch. Other days you'll be helping get a campaign out of the door before lunch. That's part of what makes the role fun!
