Vimpex Ltd is a leading independent European manufacturer and distributor of high-quality fire evacuation, alarm, signalling, and industrial products. The company supports installers, distributors, and OEM manufacturers, and is a specialist supplier of technical rescue and PPE equipment for UK fire, rescue, police, military, ambulance, and other emergency services. With over 25 years of experience, Vimpex has built a strong reputation for dependable, life-saving products at affordable prices and service excellence. The business also manufactures its own systems in Great Britain, including Identifire, Fire-Cryer, Smart+Guard, and Hydrosense. Its Scandecon division provides specialist decontamination detergents, machinery, and processes to help improve health outcomes for firefighters.
Role Description
We are looking for a part-time Marketing Assistant to support the day-to-day delivery of Vimpex marketing activity across all three divisions.

This is a practical, hands-on role. You will be:
- Drafting, scheduling and monitoring social media content, primarily on LinkedIn
- Supporting the production of marketing literature — product datasheets, brochures, case studies and application guides
- Updating product content and images on the Vimpex website
- Helping build and send email campaigns to our 6,000+ subscriber audience
- Preparing materials for exhibitions and trade events, including The Emergency Services Show, and supporting the team on stand where required
- Maintaining our image, video and brand asset library, and checking work against our brand guidelines
- Pulling together basic performance reporting on social, email and web activity
- Liaising with our external design and web agencies to brief and chase work
Essential qualifications and experience
- A recognised marketing qualification: CIM Level 3 Foundation Certificate in Marketing or above, or a degree, HND or equivalent in marketing, communications, business or a related subject. Applicants currently studying towards a CIM qualification will be considered.
- GCSE English at grade 4 / C or above
- Excellent written English, with accurate spelling, grammar and attention to detail
- Confident using Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Well organised, able to manage several pieces of work at once and meet deadlines
- Comfortable working on site in Great Wakering

Desirable
- Experience managing a business LinkedIn account or other B2B social channels
- Working knowledge of Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud or similar design tools
- Experience with email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp
- Experience updating website content through a CMS
- Photography or short-form video skills
- Background in a technical, manufacturing or B2B environment
- Full UK driving licence (our site is not well served by public transport)
