Marketing Assistant / Content Creator

Location: Worcester (Hybrid Working – 3 days per week in the office)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £26,000

We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Marketing Assistant / Content Creator to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys social media, marketing, customer engagement, and the arts.

The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting our books and projects, growing our online presence, and engaging with artists and art enthusiasts across multiple platforms. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating engaging content, building online communities, and bringing stories to life through video and social media.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creating, scheduling, and posting engaging content across a range of social media platforms.
  • Producing short-form video content for social media, including product walk-throughs, studio behind-the-scenes content, artist highlights, and promotional campaigns.
  • Presenting confidently on camera with a conversational and authentic style, discussing art, artists, and products in a relatable and engaging manner.
  • Editing video content using mobile editing tools such as CapCut and native platform editing tools, including Instagram Edits.
  • Developing compelling visual stories with strong hooks, effective pacing, and thoughtful audio selection to maximise audience engagement and retention.
  • Building relationships and engaging with influential figures within the art industry.
  • Creating and administering crowdfunding campaigns and supporting promotional activities.
  • Providing excellent customer support and responding to enquiries.
  • Managing the distribution of artists’ copies of our publications.
  • Monitoring and responding to comments, direct messages, questions, and discussions across social media channels.
  • Actively engaging with online art communities, encouraging conversations, and building genuine relationships with followers and customers.
  • Monitoring content performance using key metrics such as watch time, reach, and engagement rates, and applying insights to improve future campaigns.
  • Contributing innovative and commercially focused marketing ideas to help grow the business.
  • Supporting wider marketing and administrative activities as required.

About You

We are looking for someone who is creative, organised, proactive, and confident communicating online. You will be passionate about creating engaging content, comfortable interacting with audiences, and excited by the opportunity to work within the art and publishing sector.

Essential Skills and Qualities

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable and confident presenting on camera.
  • Good understanding of social media platforms, audience engagement, and content creation best practices.
  • Experience creating short-form social media content and video-based storytelling.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Understanding of basic social media analytics and the ability to adapt content strategies based on performance data.
  • Positive, self-motivated attitude with strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable interacting with customers and online communities.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • A genuine passion for, or interest in, art and the creative industries.
  • Ability to draw, paint, or create original artwork that can be used in content creation.
  • Experience using design and content creation software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut, or similar tools.
  • Previous experience in marketing, content creation, social media management, community management, or crowdfunding campaigns.
  • Experience creating video content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, or similar platforms.
