Start date: Immediate. Candidates available to start immediately or at short notice are preferred.

Be the first marketing hire at a growing Executive Search firm

G&E Partners is a specialist Executive Search business in Central London, and we're hiring our first dedicated Marketing Assistant.

That makes this an unusual entry-level role. You won't be joining an established team or following someone else's playbook. You'll take ownership of our brand across LinkedIn, Instagram and beyond, and see the results of your work straight away.

You don't need professional marketing experience. You will need a Marketing or related degree, confidence using the main content and design tools, and the drive to work things out for yourself.

What you'll actually do

You'll be responsible for how G&E Partners presents itself online to clients, candidates and future hires.

That means you'll be:

  • Planning, creating and scheduling content for our LinkedIn company page
  • Growing our Instagram presence through posts, Reels and Stories that show daily life, culture and events at G&E Partners
  • Helping consultants build their personal brands on LinkedIn with headshots, banners, branded graphics and post ideas
  • Designing social graphics, branded templates and documents in Canva
  • Writing, formatting and posting job adverts across LinkedIn, Indeed and other job boards
  • Researching the US Construction market to help produce market updates, salary insights and thought-leadership content
  • Supporting graduate attraction, including attending university careers fairs with our Talent Acquisition team and creating careers content
  • Capturing and promoting internal events, team milestones and company successes
  • Keeping our website and online profiles up to date
  • Running a content calendar and tracker so everything goes out accurately and on time
  • Monitoring engagement and reporting monthly on what's working and what isn't
  • Spotting trends and suggesting new ideas to grow our reach

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

A realistic idea of the role

We don't currently have anyone in marketing, so there won't be a senior marketer here to teach you the tools or show you how to do each task.

You'll report to our Managing Director, who will support you, set priorities and give you feedback. Day to day, though, you'll need to be self-sufficient. That means being comfortable taking a brief, working out the best way to deliver it and then getting it done.

You'll have a company phone and laptop, Canva Pro and full access to our business social accounts.

If that level of ownership early in your career sounds exciting rather than daunting, you'll probably enjoy it here.

What we're looking for

Essential:

  • A degree in Marketing or a related field, such as Digital Marketing, Communications, Business with Marketing, Media, PR or Journalism
  • Confident, hands-on experience with Canva
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn and Instagram from a brand or business perspective, not just personal use
  • Strong written English, with excellent spelling, grammar and attention to detail
  • The ability to manage your own workload, prioritise and meet deadlines without close supervision
  • A portfolio of your work (see below)

Desirable:

  • Marketing experience from an internship, placement or university society
  • Short-form video editing using CapCut or similar
  • Experience scheduling content with Meta Business Suite or Buffer
  • A basic understanding of social media analytics
  • An interest in recruitment, employer branding or B2B marketing

Your portfolio

Your portfolio is the most important part of your application. It doesn't have to be professional work. We're interested in examples such as:

  • Social media content you've created, whether for a university society, a club, a small business or yourself
  • Graphics or designs, especially anything made in Canva
  • Short-form videos or Reels
  • University marketing projects, campaigns or written work
  • Anything from an internship or placement

A link to a Google Drive folder, Canva site, PDF or social account is fine. We'd rather see 3–5 strong examples than lots of average ones.

Why join G&E Partners?

  • Real ownership from day one, with the chance to shape our brand
  • Direct exposure to senior leadership
  • Broad experience across B2B, employer branding, social media and event marketing
  • As the business and its marketing grow, so can your role
