Marketing Assistant

Location: Central Office, Eccles, Greater Manchester

Hours: Full Time

Salary: Up to £30k dependent upon experience

We're looking for a creative, organised and enthusiastic Marketing Assistant to join our growing team. If you love creating engaging content, enjoy social media, have a flair for writing and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience across every aspect of marketing—from managing social media and creating digital campaigns to supporting exciting projects, organising events and helping shape our internal communications.

What You'll Be Doing

As our Marketing Assistant, you'll play a key role in supporting the delivery of our marketing strategy by:

  • Managing the marketing inbox, responding to enquiries and directing requests to the appropriate team members.
  • Creating, scheduling and publishing engaging content across our social media platforms.
  • Building and nurturing our online communities by responding to comments and messages professionally and promptly.
  • Writing engaging blogs that support SEO and drive website traffic.
  • Creating and distributing email marketing campaigns using Mailchimp.
  • Producing monthly social media performance reports, identifying trends and opportunities to improve future campaigns.
  • Developing compelling content for a variety of marketing channels while maintaining our brand tone of voice.
  • Supporting internal communications, including newsletters, staff announcements and organisational updates.
  • Researching and preparing entries for industry awards that showcase our achievements.
  • Assisting with the planning and delivery of marketing campaigns and projects.
  • Coordinating internal office events, celebrations and employee engagement activities.
  • Providing day-to-day administrative support to the Marketing team, including organising assets, scheduling meetings and maintaining marketing records.

What We're Looking For

You'll be someone who is:

  • Creative, enthusiastic and full of ideas.
  • An excellent communicator with strong written and verbal skills.
  • Organised with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Confident managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Passionate about social media and digital marketing.
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Eager to learn, develop and build a successful career in marketing.

Essential

  • Excellent written communication and proofreading skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Good knowledge of social media platforms and current digital trends.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn.
  • A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, with the ability to travel to our services and events across the organisation as required.

Desirable

  • Experience creating content for social media or websites.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices.
  • Experience using Mailchimp or another email marketing platform.
  • Familiarity with Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Previous marketing, communications or administrative experience.
  • A relevant qualification in Marketing, Communications or a related subject.
