Marketing Assistant
UTA is seeking a Marketing Assistant to join the Music Marketing team in our London office. UTA’s Music Marketing team deal with media owners, record labels, management companies, and concert promoters.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with marketing plans, promotional proposals, and social media tools alongside the ability to interact confidently with agents, promoters, record labels, artists and managers.
You will be responsible for supporting the department by assisting on projects as well as focusing heavily on tour marketing and communications plans for UTA Music touring clients. You’ll also interact constantly with the Tour Marketers, Tour Marketing Coordinator, Creative Coordinator & Graphic Designer, as well as UTA Music Agents to implement marketing strategies and maximize ticket sales for UTA Music touring clients.
What You’ll Do
Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Manage phone, calendar, and research for meetings; schedule meetings and calls, internally and externally
- Manage and maintain spreadsheets, and draft communications
- Strong task management skills, used to proactively build processes that benefit the business
- Liaise with internal staff at all levels and external clients & partners
- Expense reports - prepare monthly reports for review & submit to accounting for approval
- Track and review contracts, client calendars and payments through a series of detailed grids
- Collection of assets, content, and information to draft marketing letters for distribution to promoters
- Coordination with managers, agents, and promoters to set up the announcement and on sale launch of a show/tour.
- Regular interactions with promoters to collecting marketing plans, promotional materials, ticket links and ticket headers for review and approval by management
- Creation of Marketing, Ticketing and Radio grids as well as other organizational tasks
- Ability to go through websites, social media sites, and ticketing sites to ensure tours are announced and information/images are correct

What You’ll Need
- Previous assistant ideally within the entertainment industry
- General understanding of current music industry and the nature of a talent agency
- A good knowledge of the leading social media and digital platforms
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Discretion at all times, particularly when dealing with sensitive client matters
- Ability to prioritize a busy workload
- Ability to develop business relationships
- Previous experience in a related field is desirable
