Marketing Assistant | Chelmsford, Essex (on site)
Monday to Friday | 9am–6pm | Competitive pay + bonuses
Good marketing starts with understanding people: what gets their attention, what influences their decisions and what turns interest into action.
Myriad is looking for a Marketing Assistant to join our growing sales and marketing company in Chelmsford. This is an opportunity to build practical commercial marketing experience while working with nationally recognised brands and seeing first-hand how campaigns connect brands with customers.
You’ll gain hands-on experience throughout the campaign process working directly with customers and learning how brands are represented in real-world environments. You’ll see how marketing messages are communicated, how different audiences respond, what drives customer acquisition and how customer feedback and campaign performance can influence the way a campaign develops. It’s practical exposure that gives you a genuine understanding of how marketing contributes to commercial growth.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
