A venture/seed-backed, early-revenue cybersecurity scale-up is building the identity and enforcement layer for AI agents — a category created in the last 18 months and moving extremely fast.

The company has just landed its first ARR customer, is closing significant partner and channel agreements, and is progressing formal security assurance processes. Leadership is a repeat-founder team with a strong track record of building and exiting technology companies.

This is a lean, high-velocity organisation — headcount is deliberately kept small, with senior commercial hires doing the heavy lifting rather than large teams. The company is now investing in AI-driven marketing infrastructure rather than headcount to scale outbound.

The Role

Our client is hiring a Marketing Automation Engineer to own the marketing technology stack end-to-end: evaluate, select, build, and run the tooling that drives high-volume, qualified outbound across email, social, and phone.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You will:

  • Own full responsibility for tooling selection and architecture across the marketing/GTM stack — combining the existing HubSpot instance with newer signal and enrichment tools (e.g. Clay) and outbound engagement platforms.
  • Build and continuously refine ICP targeting and signal-based lead scoring to maximise relevance and conversion of outbound activity.
  • Design and run multi-channel outbound programmes (email, social, phone) at scale, with a relentless focus on qualified pipeline generated, not vanity activity metrics.
  • Build the integrations and automations (APIs, workflows, enrichment pipelines) that let a small team operate like a much larger one.
  • Report on and be accountable for commercial outcomes — pipeline sourced, meetings booked, cost per qualified lead — not just system uptime.

What We're Looking For

  • A demonstrable track record of building a marketing/GTM stack from scratch at a previous company and proving commercial impact (qualified pipeline/revenue generated, not just “implemented HubSpot”).
  • Deep, current, hands-on fluency with HubSpot plus modern signal/enrichment tooling (Clay or equivalent) and outbound engagement platforms.
  • Comfort working with APIs, data workflows, and automation logic (SQL/basic scripting a strong plus) — this is a builder role, not a strategy/slides role.
  • SaaS/B2B tech background. Cybersecurity experience is a bonus, not a requirement.
