Working Hours & Location

This role follows a 37-hour, Monday to Friday working pattern. The vacancy will be offered on a remote working basis, with a requirement to attend our main hub spaces as and when required.

Role Overview

The Marketing Automation Executive supports both the Fundraising Strategy team and the wider organisation. This role focuses on delivering high-quality supporter journeys and stewardship through Marketo, our marketing automation platform. A key part of the role is understanding and effectively using our CRM data, ensuring all communications and data management activities are fully GDPR compliant.

The position involves turning ideas and briefs into fully developed, operational campaigns and programmes. This includes shaping concepts and approaches, as well as hands-on building and configuration to deliver impactful messaging—such as campaigns around Winter Storms—to our supporters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build Marketo email campaign programmes to enable the Trust to deliver targeted communications to our large database.
  • Build smart campaigns for selection and processing of contacts.
  • Manage system smart lists in Marketo.
  • Build reporting for analysing email campaigns.
  • Input and provide content insights for emails.
  • Advise on and build new segmentations.
  • Support, design and deliver email testing plans.
  • Send out fast-turnaround email communications (reputational and appeals).
  • Deliver email marketing support to wider teams.
  • Work with the digital content team, the fundraising team and volunteering team to continuously test and learn our evolving user to supporter model.
  • Produce and share a monthly user to supporter reports that demonstrates how we are testing customer journeys for our connected supporters to achieve: passive support (voice) donations (money) or volunteering hours (time).
  • Work with our digital and marketing agencies and the marketing executive to produce a collective report that showcases customer reach, customer engagements, customer connections and customer conversions for current and cumulative activity.
  • Work with the content team to test and learn and demonstrate the implementation and tracking of dynamic, personalised or localised content.
  • Work with our email platform and other marketing platforms to produce safe data handling and smart segmentation.
  • Assist in any required CRM / external system integrations needed for data processing and dynamic marketing.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
