Marketing Automation Manager – Legal Tech Talk now part of Hyve!

A bit about us

We’re Hyve - organiser of the world’s fastest-growing and most forward-thinking B2B events. As the chosen event partner to many of the world’s leading companies, our platforms play a critical role in their strategies - helping them enter new markets, accelerate growth and connect with the people who matter most.

Our portfolio features some of the world’s leading events in sectors like ecommerce, healthcare, edtech, and fintech. We’re growing fast with an entrepreneurial culture that empowers big ideas and quick action, plus an ambitious acquisition strategy bringing exciting new events into our mix.

Alongside our market-leading events, we’re building tech and data-driven products that supercharge connections – from one-to-one meeting programs and curated table talks to year-round engagement platforms.

Whatever your role, you’ll join a global team redefining how industries connect, collaborate, and grow – working with some of the most talented people in the business.

A bit about you

First things first: whatever your background, beliefs or ambitions, there’s a culture of belonging at Hyve — and everyone is welcome. The question isn’t where you’ve come from, but where you want to go.

You’ll thrive here if you’re curious, collaborative and not afraid to challenge convention. We look for people who take pride in what they do, who are excited by change and always moving forward. The kind of people who stay open, keep learning, and look for better ways to make an impact.

Our shared behaviours guide how we work: we dare to do things differently, own our work, embrace collaboration, stay true to ourselves and others, and remember that optimism wins.

If that sounds like you, you’ll fit right in.

As our CRM and audience data expert, they will connect database growth, event registrations and digital content engagement to understand our audience and identify opportunities to increase participation.

Working closely with the marketing team, they will lead audience targeting, automated journeys, email delivery and performance analysis. They will turn insights into practical improvements, helping us reach relevant people, engage them effectively and convert interest into action.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

This is a hands-on role requiring strong practical CRM experience, technical expertise and sound marketing judgement. Curiosity and an appetite to develop new skills are essential, with opportunities to apply AI-assisted tools and new approaches to improve how we operate and engage our audiences.

As part of your job, you’ll:

  • Develop and execute an audience growth strategy with the Head of Marketing, covering the database, event audiences and year-round digital content.
  • Manage data acquisition, enrichment and AI-assisted tools to grow relevant audiences, improve contact data and support targeted outreach.
  • Oversee the progression of cold prospect data into MQLs, managing outreach flows, qualification and engagement criteria, and moving relevant contacts into CRM nurture journeys.
  • Recommend and implement new tools and approaches that improve acquisition, qualification and campaign efficiency, maintaining data accuracy and appropriate marketing permissions.
  • Own CRM data structure and quality, including contact and company records, relevant deal information, classification, imports, deduplication and enrichment.
  • Build audience segments based on roles, sectors, interests, behaviour and lifecycle stage, identifying gaps in audience coverage.
  • Manage consent, preferences, exclusions and suppression processes in line with GDPR and internal policies.
  • Lead the build and optimisation of prospect, delegate and attendee journeys, including welcome, nurture, registration abandonment, re-engagement and post-event workflows.
  • Work closely with the Marketing Manager on campaign objectives and audience needs, owning targeting, personalisation, journey logic and technical execution whilst they lead copy and creative.
  • Build, test and schedule campaign emails, coordinating activity with automated workflows and the wider communications calendar.
  • Manage triggers, entry and exit rules, exclusions and contact frequency to keep communications relevant and avoid audience fatigue.
  • Maintain reliable data flow between the CRM, registration platform, website forms, webinar tools and other marketing sources, resolving issues and documenting key processes.
  • Continually explore and learn new CRM capabilities, automation techniques and AI-assisted tools, applying them to improve how we operate, personalise journeys and engage our audiences.
  • Monitor inbox placement and sender reputation across major mailbox providers, investigating bounces, spam complaints and filtering.
  • Use deliverability monitoring and diagnostic tools to identify issues and improve delivery.
  • Test rendering, links and functionality across email clients and devices.
  • Review sending practices and volumes as the database grows, protecting deliverability and supporting sustained engagement.
  • Provide regular updates on database growth, delegate registrations, attendee numbers and digital content participation, tracking progress against targets and relevant benchmarks.
  • Map engagement between these audiences, showing how people move from content or campaign interaction through to registration and attendance.
  • Conduct email and campaign performance deep dives by segment and acquisition source, assessing delivery, engagement and conversion to identify what drives growth.
  • Work with the Marketing Manager to agree and test improvements to targeting, messaging, timing and follow-up, adapting CRM journeys and nurtures accordingly.
  • Share clear recommendations with the Head of Marketing and wider team, proactively identifying opportunities to improve acquisition, engagement and marketing operations.
