BMW UK, Farnborough
About the Role
We believe in creating an environment where our interns really can learn by doing during their time with us and where they are given their own areas of responsibilities from the start. That’s why our experts treat you as part of the team from day one, encourage you to bring your own ideas to the table – and give you the opportunity to really show what you can do.
We have several Marketing Brand Communications positions available to join our Brand Communications team and support the delivery of BMW marketing communications activity across the UK and Ireland. This placement is designed for students with a passion for marketing who are eager to experience firsthand how campaigns are planned, developed and delivered in a premium brand environment. You will have the opportunity to get involved from day one, contribute your ideas and build practical experience across a wide range of product, brand and communications activities.
What Awaits You?
- Support the planning and coordination of marketing activities across areas such as advertising, websites, social media, retailer marketing, and customer data. This could include helping to manage timelines, preparing updates, coordinating inputs from different teams, and supporting the delivery of campaign materials.
- Work closely with colleagues across the Brand Communications team, wider BMW UK departments, agency partners, and other stakeholders, giving you the chance to build a strong professional network and understand how different teams contribute to marketing delivery.
- Assist with the communication and amplification of experiential activity, working with teams such as Brand Experience, Press, and Internal Communications to help bring brand moments to life across different channels.
- Get involved in a varied, hands-on placement where your curiosity, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn will help you make the most of the opportunity.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
