Marketing & Business Development Manager (Aerospace)

A leading international law firm is seeking a Marketing & Business Development Manager to join its Marketing & Business Development team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the marketing and business development strategy for a globally recognised sector group, driving profile-raising initiatives, strengthening client relationships and supporting revenue growth through strategic campaigns, pitches and client development activities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and delivery of the sector's marketing and business development strategy, ensuring alignment with the firm's wider business objectives.
  • Develop and implement integrated marketing and business development plans, managing campaigns, budgets, client initiatives and measuring return on investment.
  • Support partners and fee earners with client relationship management, key account development, cross-selling opportunities and strategic business development activity.
  • Lead the preparation of high-quality pitches, proposals, credentials, legal directory submissions and other client-facing materials to enhance the firm's market profile.
  • Work collaboratively with communications and wider business services teams to deliver thought leadership, events, digital campaigns, PR initiatives and marketing collateral.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business, providing commercial insights, identifying market opportunities and driving the effective use of CRM, marketing technology and AI tools.
  • Line manage and mentor a Marketing & Business Development Executive, supporting their development while contributing to continuous improvement across the wider marketing function.

  • Previous experience in a marketing and business development role within a legal or professional services environment, with a proven track record of developing and delivering successful sector-focused marketing and client development strategies.
  • Strong project management, communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience leading pitches, proposals, campaigns and client relationship initiatives whilst managing multiple priorities to tight deadlines.
  • A proactive, commercially minded and collaborative professional with excellent organisational skills, confidence using CRM and marketing technology platforms, and the ability to build strong relationships across an international business.
