About The BD Consultancy

The BD Consultancy offers sales and marketing support for businesses and professional firms. Clients include leading global names in consulting, law and accountancy – as well as some fast-growing regional firms. We are based in a sustainable, modern and friendly serviced office in Bristol city centre, which has wheelchair accessibility.

Our three core offerings involve being the outsourced marketing team for clients, interim marketing resource, and training on marketing and business development (BD) skills.

The Culture

  • You’ll have a chance to make a big impact both in our company and within clients’ organisations.
  • We encourage people to be themselves at work; we have an informal and open environment where people are welcome to share their views right from the start on everything from how the company is run, to what pictures we have on the walls!
  • We try to maintain a pretty flat structure by supporting each other and recognising one another’s strengths.

Location

  • Our main base is in central Bristol where we have a sustainable, modern, and wheelchair accessible office.
  • You’ll have a lot of freedom to choose where you work from. We ask that you are in the office for at least 3 days per week, as this will give you the most from the role, but we are big fans of hybrid working.
  • You will also be expected to travel to our clients’ offices across the UK (all travel expenses will be paid) when needed – this will vary but tends to be a couple of times a month.

Reward

  • £29,000 – £37,000 base salary (dependent on experience), plus:
    • Twice yearly bonus.
    • Share options after 24 months.

    • Attractive benefits package including a health cash plan, a cycle to work scheme, free snacks and gym membership and retail discounts.
    • On the job coaching and support from the whole team.
    • Excellent prospects for progression within the company.
    • Opportunity to meet really interesting people.
    • Regular team meets (St Nick’s market lunches are a great way to break up the day).

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
