The Role
The Marketing Campaigns Executive will work closely with the Head of Campaigns to support the work of The Economist Growth Marketing Team in various areas. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, stays cool under pressure and is motivated by setting high standards and striving to exceed them. This role demands a proactive approach, excellent communication and organisational skills, attention to detail, multitasking ability, and solution-oriented thinking.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Campaigns
- Maintain key campaign documentation, including campaign calendar and briefs, deliverables, media plans and wrap-up decks
- Support and, in some cases, lead on the end-to-end delivery of global acquisition campaigns, including campaign briefing, timeline management, creative kick-offs, asset delivery and post-campaign reporting
- Coordinate campaign planning across Growth, Creative, Retention and Optimisation teams, ensuring key stakeholders are aligned on requirements, deliverables and deadlines
- Support campaign wrap-up reporting by coordinating results and key learnings to inform future campaign planning
- Support external marketing partnerships and cross-promotional activity, coordinating stakeholders, creative assets, timelines and deliverables
- Undertake special projects as directed by your manager, demonstrating the ability to handle complex tasks and solve problems independently, including miscellaneous requests from the marketing leadership team
- Proactively researching and identifying solutions to improve current processes and workflows
- Supporting the Head of Campaigns in day-to-day tasks, including coordinating with designers, writers, and other stakeholders to produce marketing materials and organising and maintaining digital assets and marketing collateral.

Team Operations And Administration
- Process, manage, and accurately code invoices from suppliers, including agencies and freelancers, using tools such as PeopleSoft and OneTrust.
- Maintain the invoice tracking spreadsheet for the VP, Global Brand Marketing, ensuring spend, invoice status and relevant financial information are kept accurate and up to date
- Be a go-to person for contracts with 3rd party suppliers and a liaison between the Marketing team and Legal and Procurement functions.
- Coordinate supplier onboarding and support ongoing relationships with agencies, freelancers and other external partners
- Independently manage in-house print advertising, newsletter and digital house ad workflows, including coordinating bookings, creative requirements, deadlines and producing monthly digital house-ad performance reports for Marketing leadership using Google Ad Manager data.
- Maintain and improve operational workflows in Airtable, including developing automations and identifying opportunities to reduce manual work and improve visibility across teams
Additional Responsibilities
- Support marketing activations, events and partnership initiatives, including the coordination of creative materials, merchandise, suppliers and logistics
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in marketing, media, and/or account management
- Meticulous, proactive approach to problem-solving, accountable and result-driven
- Collaborative and able to partner with team members across the marketing group and company, along with the ability to multitask, problem-solve, and efficiently manage time
- Strong aptitude for learning new technologies. Proficiency in G-Suite, PeopleSoft and Airtable is a plus.
- Ability to work at pace to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
- Flexibility to work across different time zones and collaborate with international teams

The majority of our roles operate on a hybrid working pattern, with 3+ days office attendance required.
