Marketing Communications, Campaigns, Events & Sponsorship Manager
H&H is undergoing a significant brand and organisational transformation, bringing its established businesses together as one unified organisation. One H&H connects seven areas of expertise through a shared identity, a clearer customer offer and a more joined-up way of working, rooted in our Rural Matters positioning.
We are looking for an experienced Marketing Communications, Campaigns, Events & Sponsorship Manager to turn our commercial priorities into a coordinated programme of activity that connects with customers and delivers results.
From livestock sales and property campaigns to business events, agricultural shows, sponsorships, PR and corporate communications, H&H has a varied and demanding marketing programme. This is an opportunity to bring greater focus, consistency and delivery discipline to that activity, helping us make better use of our people, resources and investment.
You will help build a shared marketing function that connects specialist capability with commercial priorities, strengthening customer relationships and supporting growth across H&H.
The Role
Reporting to the Marketing Director, you will manage our integrated marketing plan, the PR, campaign calendar, events and sponsorship programme across all seven areas of expertise.
You will work with Commercial Marketing Executives to understand business requirements and with our Brand, Content, Web, Digital & CRM Manager to plan specialist delivery. You will keep priorities visible, manage dependencies and ensure campaigns have clear objectives, response routes and commercial follow-up.
You will also help shape how H&H appears at agricultural shows and industry events, creating experiences that introduce customers to more of our expertise and turn participation into useful commercial opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the annual marketing plan and rolling campaign, events and activity calendar across H&H
- Manage briefs, workflows, deadlines, resources and approvals, resolving routine conflicts and escalating competing priorities
- Translate agreed commercial requirements into integrated campaign plans with clear audiences, budgets and measures
- Coordinate campaigns across digital, email, print, PR and events with internal colleagues and specialist partners, including managing H&H’s external PR agency
- Plan agricultural shows, exhibitions, customer events and sponsorship activations, including staffing, suppliers and on-site delivery
- Develop sponsorship proposals, assess audience fit and commercial value, negotiate activation benefits and evaluate delivery against agreed objectives
- Agree lead capture and follow-up arrangements with commercial teams before campaigns and events go live
- Manage delegated expenditure, supplier performance and production quality
- Evaluate activity against customer response, qualified opportunities, delivery costs and commercial outcomes
- Work closely with the brand manager, Commercial Marketing Executives and Content Creator / Designer to plan shared campaigns, coordinate resources and connect activity across portfolios
- Build cross-selling into campaigns, events and sponsorships, introducing customers to relevant H+H expertise and agreeing lead capture and follow-up with commercial colleagues
- Coordinate key corporate and colleague communications, ensuring important H+H publications and materials are clear, consistent and professionally delivered.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About You
We are looking for an organised, commercially aware marketer who enjoys making complex programmes work. You will be comfortable taking ownership of delivery, asking clear questions and keeping colleagues and suppliers accountable to agreed plans.
You will bring:
- Experience managing integrated marketing campaigns and events from briefing through to evaluation.
- Strong project management, budget control and supplier management skills.
- Confidence coordinating several locations, commercial teams and specialist partners.
- A practical understanding of marketing channels and how activity connects to lead generation.
- The ability to stay calm under pressure, challenge unclear requests and secure timely decisions.
- Evidence of improving activity through results and customer feedback.
Qualifications
A marketing, communications, events or related qualification would be beneficial, as would CIM membership. Relevant practical experience is equally valuable. Experience of agricultural shows, rural businesses or multi-site organisations would be an advantage.
What We Are Looking For
You will enjoy bringing order to a busy programme without losing sight of its commercial purpose. You will be collaborative, decisive and committed to seeing work through properly.
