Job Title: Marketing & Communications Coordinator

Reports to: Marketing Manager
Overview
The Marketing & Communications Coordinator plays a central role in supporting both internal and external communications while assisting with wider marketing activities across the organisation. This role is ideal for someone who is organised, proactive, and passionate about helping shape consistent messaging and engaging content. You will support day-to-day communications tasks - such as drafting internal updates, coordinating storytelling, and managing content - while also providing hands-on marketing support across digital channels, campaigns, and events.

Key Responsibilities
Communications & Content Coordination
- Draft and support the delivery of internal communications, including newsletters, intranet updates, leadership messages, and engagement campaigns.
- Coordinate and gather stories, staff updates, and relevant content from teams to support both internal and external communications.
- Assist with copywriting, proofreading, and editing to ensure clarity and tone-of-voice alignment across all channels.
- Produce and coordinate content that supports internal engagement, including charity activities, staff events, and organisational announcements.
Digital & Marketing Support
- Assist in monitoring social media accounts, ensuring planners are accurate and posts are scheduled in line with campaign timelines.
- Help in sourcing and producing content for social channels and the company website, including staff photography, testimonials, stories, and industry-relevant materials.
- Monitor our company website to check it is accurate, and aligned with current initiatives.
- Assist in maintaining and updating the CRM to support marketing workflows and communications campaigns.
- Ensure marketing and communications folders, assets, and documentation are well organised and up to date.
- Maintenance of the marketing and communications planner.
Events, Campaigns & Stakeholder Support
- Support the planning, coordination, and promotion of internal and external events, exhibitions, and campaigns.
- Assist with event logistics, exhibitor bookings, materials preparation, and promotion.
- Coordinate photography and videography requirements for events, programmes, and PR activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to collect insights, feedback, and content that supports improved communication and campaign effectiveness.

Administrative & Operational Responsibilities
- Assist units with branded materials, business cards, merchandise, and other marketing items.
- Maintain and verify marketing-related memberships and ensure benefits are actively utilised.
- Support the creation and distribution of promotional materials for fundraising, staff engagement, and community initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in a communications, marketing, or administrative support role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Confident in drafting content and coordinating messaging across multiple channels.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in using social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, etc.).
- Basic understanding of website CMS platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
- Proactive, adaptable, and eager to develop communications and marketing skills.
Reporting Structure
The Marketing & Communications Coordinator reports directly to the Marketing Manager, supporting both communications and marketing activity. The Marketing Manager will continue to lead on strategy, planning, and key messaging, while this role focuses on effective delivery across channels, campaigns, and internal engagement.
