Purpose of the Role
This role suits a candidate keen to develop their experience in corporate marketing and communications, with broad, hands-on exposure across digital content, media engagement, and internal comms. The role includes supporting the day-to-day running of Cain’s LinkedIn and Instagram channels, with digital marketing being a core part of the role, alongside media monitoring and reporting, website maintenance, and producing internal and external marketing materials. It also provides general administrative support to the marketing and communications team.
The candidate will have strong writing skills, be curious about the media landscape and how companies communicate through news and social channels, and will bring, or want to build, an understanding of the property, hospitality, and/or finance sectors.
Responsibilities
Digital Content
- Support the day-to-day running of Cain’s LinkedIn and Instagram channels, including scheduling and publishing.
- Edit video content for social channels; video editing is a required skill for this role.
- Help produce other digital content, including graphics and short-form copy, to brief and deadline.

Media Monitoring & Engagement
- Monitor and compile news roundups on Cain and the wider property and finance sectors.
- Support media engagement, including press releases and press management.
- Report on media coverage and monitoring findings to the marketing and communications team and contribute ideas and areas for improvement.
- Maintain internal media lists and journalist databases.
Website
- Carry out day-to-day website maintenance and updates, including content changes and basic CMS edits.
- Support the wider team on website content accuracy and consistency.
Internal Communications
- Support the production of internal newsletters and business updates for staff.
- Help draft and format internal communications content, working with contributors across the business.
Marketing Materials
- Support the production of marketing materials, including quarterly business updates and marketing decks.
- Assist with formatting, proofreading, and coordinating sign-off on materials ahead of distribution.
- Assist the wider company with presentation design and maintaining brand consistency across materials.
- Support the planning and delivery of corporate events, conferences, and networking receptions.
Administrative Support
- Provide general administrative support to the marketing and communications team, including scheduling, filing, and maintaining trackers.
- Help coordinate approvals, supplier contacts, and internal requests as needed.

Skills & Experience
- Strong writing skills, with excellent attention to detail across formats: social copy, newsletters, business updates, and press materials.
- Video editing skills required (e.g., Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar).
- Genuine interest in the media landscape and how news and social channels shape company communications.
- Interest in, or willingness to learn about, the property and/or finance sectors.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office; familiarity with design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) or CMS platforms is a plus.
- Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple tasks and administrative duties against deadlines.
- Some experience (internship, placement, or university society) in marketing, comms, or video content is desirable but not essential.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, English, journalism, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro or CapCut; Canva proficiency also useful.
