We are looking for a Marketing & Communications Intern to support marketing activities for our Manchester office, with opportunities to represent the company at industry, business, technology, and networking events across Manchester and Leeds.
This is a hands-on role for someone who is interested in B2B marketing, technology, events, social media, content, and market research and wants practical exposure to how marketing works within a growing technology organisation.
What You’ll Do
Local Marketing
- Support the planning and execution of marketing activities for the Manchester office.
- Research local business, technology, and industry trends relevant to our target audience.
- Identify relevant networking opportunities, conferences, meetups, and business events in Manchester and Leeds.
- Support local campaigns and initiatives to increase brand visibility and engagement.
Events & Networking
- Attend and represent the company at relevant events across Manchester and Leeds.
- Support event planning, registrations, logistics, promotional activities, and follow-ups.
- Engage professionally with attendees, business contacts, and potential partners.
- Maintain records of event contacts and support post-event communication.
- Identify opportunities to build relationships with local business and technology communities.
Content & Social Media
- Assist with creating content for LinkedIn and other relevant communication channels.
- Support posts highlighting company activities, events, achievements, and local presence.
- Help develop event-related content before, during, and after events.
- Capture basic photos, videos, and content during events where required.

Research & Marketing Support
- Conduct competitor and market research.
- Research potential clients, partners, communities, and industry events.
- Track marketing activities and prepare basic reports on engagement and outcomes.
- Support the wider marketing team with day-to-day activities and ad-hoc projects.
What We’re Looking For
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Media, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable interacting with new people and representing a company at events.
- Proactive, curious, and willing to learn.
- Good research and organisational skills.
- Comfortable using LinkedIn and other social media platforms.
- Basic understanding of content creation and digital marketing.
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
- Willingness to travel to Leeds and other nearby locations for relevant events.
Good to Have
- Previous internship, university project, volunteering, or extracurricular experience in marketing or communications.
- Experience creating LinkedIn or social media content.
- Familiarity with Canva or similar content-creation tools.
- Interest in B2B, technology, SaaS, or digital marketing.
- Experience attending or supporting events, networking sessions, university societies, or business communities.
