About Tradlation

Tradlation is a network of professional translators delivering accurate, high-quality translations at a fair price. We support businesses and organisations with translation and localisation across more than 10 languages, including French, English, Spanish, German, Italian, Dutch, Arabic, Portuguese and Russian.

About the role

Tradlation is seeking a full-time Marketing Communications Intern to support our marketing, communications and business-development activities.

This is a paid, on-site internship designed for someone who wants practical experience in marketing communications, digital content, advertising and brand development. The successful applicant will work with the Tradlation team to communicate our translation and localisation services clearly and professionally.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist with the planning and delivery of marketing communications.
  • Create and edit content for digital channels, campaigns and company materials.
  • Support product marketing, digital marketing and advertising activities.
  • Help maintain clear and consistent brand messaging.
  • Prepare visual materials using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign.
  • Support photography, events and promotional projects when required.
  • Research relevant audiences, industries and marketing opportunities.
  • Coordinate with translation, marketing and sales colleagues.
  • Monitor campaign performance and prepare basic reports.
  • Review content for accuracy, clarity and professional presentation.
  • Follow company policies, applicable advertising standards and platform requirements.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • An interest in marketing communications, digital marketing or advertising.
  • Ability to write clear, accurate and professional content.
  • Good organisation and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage several assignments and meet agreed deadlines.
  • Basic working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign.
  • Ability to work on-site in England during the stated working hours.
  • Existing legal right to work in the United Kingdom.

Desirable skills

  • Studies or qualifications in marketing, communications, business, languages or a related subject.
  • Experience with content creation, photography or event planning.
  • Familiarity with product marketing and campaign analytics.
  • Knowledge of translation, localisation or multilingual communications.
  • Additional language skills.

Salary and employment protections

The salary for this position is £26,500–£29,000 gross per year, depending on relevant skills and experience.

The successful candidate will receive:

  • 5.6 weeks of paid annual leave per holiday year, equivalent to 28 days for a five-day working week, which may include UK bank holidays.
  • Workplace pension enrolment where statutory eligibility requirements are met.
  • Statutory Sick Pay and applicable company sickness procedures.
  • Statutory maternity, paternity, adoption, shared-parental and other qualifying family leave.
  • Required daily and weekly rest periods.
  • Written employment terms and itemised payslips.
  • All other employment protections required by applicable UK law.
