For more than a century, British Engines has stood at the forefront of engineering excellence. Today, as leaders in our markets, we deliver mission-critical products and services that keep vital parts of the world running smoothly, from protecting energy systems in the deepest oceans to securing global power infrastructure.

Founded in Newcastle upon Tyne in 1922, British Engines has grown into a global engineering group comprising nine specialised businesses. With core design and manufacturing facilities in the UK, complemented by operations in India and Germany, the Group is further supported by an established network of sales and distribution offices across Australia, Canada, China, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, the United Arab Emirates and the United States.

While we’re proud of our heritage, we are not standing still. We are focused on our ambition for strong, sustainable growth – expanding into new markets, advancing new technologies, and delivering smarter, more efficient solutions for our customers.

The role

Having recently launched our new brand identity, Group purpose and shared core values, this is an exciting time to be a part of British Engines, where communications will play a key role in shaping how we connect with our people, how we share our story externally, and how we support business success across the Group.

As Marketing & Communications Lead you will drive and support the delivery of engaging, high-quality communications across British Engines, positioning the Group as a leading provider of complex engineering solutions while reinforcing our critical role in global industries. In addition, this pivotal role will provide marketing support to British Engines businesses where required, helping to develop and strengthen their customer value propositions to enable business growth.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
