Company Description

Elmore Community Services supports people facing multiple and overlapping challenges, including mental ill health, homelessness, domestic abuse, modern slavery, addictions, and abuse. The organization provides holistic, person-centered support that recognizes the complexity of these issues and the need for coordinated interventions. Elmore works closely with local partners and agencies to improve outcomes and promote safety, stability, and wellbeing. Team members contribute to a mission-driven environment where social impact, dignity, and respect for each individual are central to the work.

Role Description

The Marketing & Communications Lead is a part-time, hybrid role based in Oxford, with the flexibility to work from home for part of the week. This position is responsible for planning and delivering Elmore’s marketing and communications activities to increase awareness of services, strengthen community engagement, and support fundraising and partnership work.

  • Developing and implementing marketing strategies
  • Creating content for digital and print channels
  • Managing social media and website updates
  • Producing newsletters, case studies, and impact stories
  • Conducting market research
  • Monitoring audience engagement
  • Liaising with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging
  • Supporting outreach campaigns and events
  • Maintaining brand standards
  • Evaluating campaign performance
  • Providing regular reports to leadership

Qualifications

  • Strong Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication and the ability to tailor messages to different audiences.
  • Developing and implementing marketing & communications plans, ensuring activities support the charities objectives.
  • Leading the charities digital communications, including website management, social media, email marketing, and digital content.
  • Ability to support fundraising, partnership development, or service promotion.
  • Relationship skills to engage compassionately with service users, partners, donors, and the wider community.
  • Experience in the nonprofit, social care, or community sector is highly beneficial.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively within a small, multidisciplinary team.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, basic design tools, and website content management systems is an advantage.
  • Relevant education or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field.
  • Experience within project management.
