Marketing & Communications Manager
As Marketing & Communications Manager, you will play a key role in shaping and strengthening Browne's reputation across the utilities and infrastructure sectors. Working closely with senior leaders, operational teams, and colleagues across the Group, you will develop and deliver engaging communications that showcase our expertise, projects, people, and achievements.
You will lead the planning and delivery of internal and external communications, oversee content creation across digital and social channels, manage media and public relations activity, and ensure our brand is represented consistently across all touchpoints. The role also includes responsibility for marketing collateral, supporting business development activities, managing agency and creative resources where required, and providing leadership to the Marketing & Communications Coordinator. This is a reputation-building role focused on storytelling, brand development, and stakeholder engagement rather than lead generation or performance marketing.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
