Marketing & Communications Manager, Opportunity London at NLA

We are looking for a proactive and project-minded Marketing & Communications Manager to lead day-to-day marketing and communications for Opportunity London, the capital's investment promotion platform.

This is a varied, hands-on role for someone who can turn strategic priorities into clear plans, compelling content and well-executed campaigns. You will work closely with senior leaders, partners, investors and specialist colleagues, taking ownership of activity from initial idea through to delivery and evaluation.

About Opportunity London

Through campaigns, events, research, international engagement and investor communications, it tells London's story to global audiences and helps connect investment with opportunity across the capital.

What you'll do

  • Plan and deliver an integrated marketing and communications programme aligned with Opportunity London's priorities.
  • Manage content across key channels, including newsletters, social media, digital content, presentations and corporate materials.
  • Develop communications that support relationships with partners, investors and priority stakeholders.
  • Lead campaigns around major events, research, launches, international missions, exhibitions and announcements.
  • Produce Opportunity London’s podcast series.
  • Coordinate Opportunity London and NLA presence at major exhibitions and conferences.
  • Spot proactive stories, themes and opportunities arising from the work of Opportunity London and its network.
  • Coordinate agencies, creative suppliers and production partners, ensuring activity is delivered to a high standard, on time and within budget.
  • Use audience and performance insight to set objectives, measure impact and continually improve activity.
  • Maintain consistent messaging and ensure all communications reflect the Opportunity London and NLA brands.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

About you

  • Proactive and comfortable taking ownership rather than waiting for a detailed brief.
  • An excellent project manager, able to juggle multiple priorities, stakeholders and deadlines.
  • Confident working directly with senior leaders, investors, partners and external stakeholders — without needing to own those relationships.
  • Collaborative by instinct — genuinely comfortable drawing on specialist colleagues rather than trying to do everything personally.
  • Commercially aware, curious and outward-looking, able to spot connections and opportunities across networks and audiences.
  • A strong written and verbal communicator, comfortable producing content while knowing when to hand off to specialist expertise.
  • Confident setting deadlines, following up and driving activity through to completion.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities and opportunities can change.

Experience

  • Approximately 4–6 years' experience in marketing, communications or a related role.
  • Experience developing and delivering integrated marketing and communications plans.
  • Strong stakeholder and project management experience, including with senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience developing communications for B2B, corporate, partner or investor audiences.
  • Experience delivering campaigns around events, launches or major organisational moments, and managing agencies or creative suppliers.
  • Built environment, investment promotion, professional services, membership or B2B events experience is advantageous but not essential.

Reports to: Associate Director - Marketing and Communications.
