Marketing & Communications Manager

Help shape the voice of a growing charity and make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people.

We're looking for an experienced and creative Marketing & Communications Manager to lead and deliver engaging communications activity that raises awareness, strengthens engagement, and supports organisational growth.

Location: Thurrock, Essex (Hybrid working, including home working)

Salary: £40,000 per annum

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role within an ambitious and community-focused charity. You will lead marketing and communications activity across a range of channels, helping to tell impactful stories, engage stakeholders, and build the organisation's profile.

  • You'll work across digital and traditional communications, developing campaigns, creating content, supporting PR activity, and ensuring communications contribute to the charity's wider goals.
  • This is a hands-on role that combines strategic thinking with day-to-day delivery. You'll have the opportunity to shape communications plans, influence organisational visibility, and work closely with colleagues and external partners.

About You

We're looking for someone who is creative, proactive, and passionate about using communications to make a positive impact.

You'll have experience in:

  • Developing and delivering marketing and communications campaigns.
  • Creating engaging content for websites, social media, email marketing, and other digital channels.
  • Managing media relations and supporting PR activities.
  • Coordinating projects and working with external suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Measuring the effectiveness of communications activity and using insights to inform future campaigns.
  • Building strong relationships across teams and with external audiences.
