About this opportunity

Are you prepared to help develop a centre of excellence for reactive communications that elevates our brands during key moments? As a Marketing Communications Manager in the Reactive Communications team, you will drive quick, daring, and culturally relevant activities across Lloyds, Bank of Scotland, and Scottish Widows. You will deliver both proactive and reactive campaigns, stunts, and activations that generate buzz, positive sentiment, customer relevance, and commercial success.

This role requires quick action, recognizing the right opportunities, and transforming them into compelling ideas that reach the right audience at the perfect moment and place. Following Lloyds' commercial strategy and our core beliefs, you’ll help our brands appear with intention, stand out culturally, contribute meaningfully to customers, and support growth goals.

Want to hear more?

Enjoy culture, creativity, speed, media, and solving problems in real time? Here’s your opportunity to create a new working style. It helps our brands move fast, think bigger, and deliver fame-driving ideas with real impact. You’ll join a dynamic team that blends brand, product, social, media, agency, risk, and commercial partners. Together, you will produce reactive daily moments and planned proactive campaigns. From cultural events to fast social content, OOH, FOOH, influencer, and PR-led initiatives, you’ll contribute to making our brands known for quick thinking, clever creativity, and memorable customer experiences.

We want energy, judgment, resilience, and a ‘can-do’ attitude. If you’re proactive, inquisitive, comfortable with uncertainty, and excel when things move fast, you’ll fit right in. You’ll help us maintain relevancy throughout the year while balancing speed with solid oversight, clear measurement, and customer-first thinking.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead the delivery of proactive and reactive moments, stunts, and activations that generate talkability, positive sentiment, engagement, and commercial impact across paid, owned, and earned channels.
  • Help build a leading reactive communications centre of excellence for big thinking, innovative, right time, right place ideas that land in moments that matter for our customers and brands.
  • Detect and capitalise on cultural, customer, product, and market occasions quickly, producing timely initiatives that increase relevance and drive engagement.
  • Shape responsive campaign support hardwired into business and customer priorities, including major cultural moments, seasonal events, sponsorships, product launches, and brand campaigns.
  • Establish daily and continuous listening principles, using insight, platform trends, social sentiment, and cultural signals to find opportunities with speed and relevance.
  • Partner across Full Funnels, Accelerator teams, agencies, GCA, risk, media, and commercial teams to unlock growth, create clarity, and deliver integrated reactive activity at pace.
  • Build clear measurement frameworks for success, tracking fame, engagement, sentiment, speed to market, customer value, and commercial contribution, then turning findings into future improvements.
  • Inspire and guide a high-performing team, fostering collaboration, accountability, pace, curiosity, and continuous learning.
  • Manage budgets, ensuring accurate planning, PO control, reporting, and efficient use of media and production spend.
  • Maintain adherence to compliance and risk standards, ensuring all activity aligns with FCA and Group requirements while facilitating faster, smarter routes to market.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
