Marketing Communications Manager
At Phrase, we help open the door to global business by providing the world's leading Language Intelligence Platform.
The Phrase Platform combines AI, agentic orchestration, and a headless, API-first architecture in one composable system. Beyond translation, it orchestrates and adapts content to culture, audience, channel, brand voice, and intended outcome in any language, for every audience. It applies the context that makes content perform in every market: quality standards, glossaries, prior translations, and cultural nuance. Every team, in every region, can ship content that is on-brand, on-point, and ready for any audience.
Phrase gives enterprises the intelligence to automate workflows, the freedom to connect their own tools and engines, and the control to govern global content at scale.
With a global team based in our offices, and remote colleagues across Europe, the UK, the US, and the APAC region, Phrase offers an international environment built on collaboration, innovation, and shared purpose.
About the Role
The Marketing Communications Manager keeps Phrase visible and credible across its owned channels, sitting within the Global Communications team and reporting into the Director of Global Communications. This is a hands-on role delivering Phrase's social, webinar, review, and academic programs day to day, from LinkedIn community building to webinar logistics and academic partner relationships. You'll work closely with product marketing, regional marketing, and other stakeholders across the business to ship these programs efficiently and to a high standard. The role calls for someone who can juggle competing priorities, use sound judgment about where their time has the greatest impact, and pair confident use of AI tools with strong editorial judgment to keep Phrase's communications accurate and engaging.
What you'll be responsible for:
- Manage and grow Phrase's corporate social media presence across LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook, with LinkedIn as the primary channel.
- Evaluate emerging platforms such as Reddit, Threads, and TikTok, and recommend where Phrase should invest next.
- Build and maintain the social content calendar in line with company news, product updates, campaigns, events, customer stories, and thought leadership.
- Grow participation in Phrase's employee advocacy program by equipping colleagues with relevant, shareable content.
- Manage Phrase's Academic Program end to end, including partner onboarding, license administration, and ongoing communications with participating institutions.
- Build relationships with academic partners and identify opportunities to extend Phrase's visibility through their networks.
- Manage Phrase's presence across priority review platforms and awards programs to strengthen third-party credibility.
- Support the planning and delivery of Phrase's webinar program in partnership with the Director of Global Communications, product marketing, and regional marketing teams, coordinating logistics, speaker preparation, and promotion.
- Maintain communications-led website content, including news, editorials, customer proof, and event pages.
- Manage distribution of the "In Other Words" podcast across owned channels and run regular customer and prospect newsletters in HubSpot.
- Monitor performance across social, webinar, review, and newsletter channels, using the data to continuously optimize content, formats, and distribution.
- Use AI tools across research, content development, repurposing, analysis, and reporting, with strong editorial oversight, and identify opportunities to bring more automation into the team's ways of working.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
