Location: Tottenham Hale, London N17. This is a role based at our Head Office and services as required. Hybrid working may be considered upon successful completion of probation, subject to business needs and Outward's Hybrid Working Policy.

About Outward

In 2025, Outward proudly celebrated 50 years of delivering high-quality support and care services to vulnerable people across London. For half a century, we have been dedicated to empowering individuals to live fulfilling lives, make positive choices, and embrace opportunities that matter to them.

Our journey has been defined by our commitment to engaging, enabling and empowering the people we support. From supported living to activity centres and community outreach, we continue to evolve, innovate and deliver services that reflect the unique needs and aspirations of those we serve.

About The Role

We're looking for a creative, organised and proactive Marketing and Communications Officer to work alongside our Marketing and Communications Manager and help deliver Outward's internal and external communications activity.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys creating engaging content, managing digital channels, promoting services and events, and helping organisations tell their stories effectively.

Working closely with colleagues across Outward, you'll play a key role in raising our profile, promoting our services, managing internal and external communications, and ensuring staff, stakeholders and the people we support have access to engaging and relevant information.

You'll create content for a range of channels including social media, newsletters, websites and internal communication platforms. You'll also support the promotion of specialist services such as Nutley Edge and Nutley Edge Activity Breaks, help market available accommodation opportunities, and provide administrative support for business development activities.

This role would suit someone with marketing or communications experience who enjoys variety, working with different stakeholders, and making a visible impact across a values-led organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, edit and publish engaging content across digital and print channels
  • Manage and update Outward's website, intranet and internal communication platforms
  • Support social media activity and help grow engagement across multiple platforms
  • Produce newsletters, posters, presentations, case studies and promotional materials
  • Identify and promote positive stories from across Outward's services
  • Support internal communications activity and staff engagement initiatives
  • Assist with the promotion of Outward's services, events and campaigns
  • Support the marketing of Nutley Edge and Nutley Edge Activity Breaks
  • Promote available accommodation opportunities ("voids") to relevant audiences including families, referrers and stakeholders
  • Analyse campaign performance and produce marketing reports
  • Manage and respond to enquiries received through shared communications inboxes
  • Use online funding directories to identify potential charitable trusts and funding opportunities
  • Prepare standard funding correspondence and simple application forms using information provided by the Business Development Manager
  • Support conferences, events and other communications projects

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
